Which best describes your feelings today?

  1. It was the wrong decision. Michael would have seen us to safety and was the right man for the job.

  2. I'd lost faith in Michal Laudrup, but the timing is dreadful with Derby game coming.

  3. It was the right thing to do given the form and we needed to move on before it was too late.

I thought about making the voter's names public, but we have plenty of ****-slinging here already. Fuel to the fire and all that!

My mistake for not looking more closely, I just assumed they were public anyway. But that's ok, you've taken the diplomatic option

Appalling treatment of Laudrup and Swansea have lost a lot of the neutrals who like the small town teams like Swansea to do well. To replace the class act that he is by an untried, ex-lower league carthorse is unbelievable especially ahead of the crucial matches; act in haste and repent at leisure as the saying goes, well the Swansea board will have plenty of time to repent while they're in the championship next year. Perhaps the board wanted to trigger the £63m relegation 'parachute' payment; now there's food for thought, eh!

I think something had to be done fellas after watching you lot slip slowly but surely down the table. Your board acted ruthlessly getting rid of Laudrup but one win in ten suggests that is what was needed.

Good luck for the rest of the season, I think you'll be ok.

Thanks mate, difficult one it was, but it had to be done, he has had all season to sort our front line out and still nothing, so we move on hopefully onwards and upwards!...............<ok>

    Absolutely mate.

Going back a few years now (1983 in fact), I travelled all the way from Newcastle to Swansea for an old second division match and the game was called off due to a waterlogged pitch (at the old Vetchfield).

It was a long nine hour drive back home I can tell you <wah>

Dorty - I well remember that day back in 1983 - Newcastle fans all over the place. The ref called the game off around noon after deeming the pitch unplayable.

But, strangely, if my memory serves me well, the game was re-scheduled for the following day (Sunday), and so a load of your Geordie brethren spent the night on the beach, sleeping around wood fires and getting boozed up.

Can't remember what the score was, but can remember on the saturday a few brawls breaking out between rival fans in the city centre - quite laughable really: blokes fighting in the middle of the street in pouring rain, holding the traffic up and using umbrellas as weapons! Well it was laughable until a few NCFC appeared from somewhere with a holdall full of nail-studded wooden staves and started handing them out.

I scarpered at that point :cheesy:

    :cheesy: nice one Fiery :cheesy:

Aye, the game was played on the Sunday but we came down on official supporter's coaches so had to make our way back home. Apparently, the Vetch Field's drainage system was linked to the sea and couldn't cope with heavy rain.

As for the brawlers with brollies, that sounds about right mate. Our 'service crew' loons used to carry them (and probably still do). I still see some of them in and around town (many of them are banned from entering the city centre on match days) and they haven't changed. They are now middle-aged blokes up for a scrap <should be tending their allotments instead the sad old twats> <steam>
