Yeah, I checked this page out the other day. He's got credentials coming out of his ass! I'd be happy.

Guillem Balague has tipped Oscar Garcia and reckons we wont go far wrong with him. Philosophy first.

If only we had Monk screaming from the touchline there's no way Carroll would have won those headers.
Anyone who says any otherwise knows **** all about football.

An interesting one at 20/1 is Paul Clement.

why do anyone want a big name.??? we burned our fingers with laudrup... We have always done well with managers that are not fancied than any big name Charley...It is when they come to us that they make a name for themselves and we have trouble keeping them but that is the price we pay for success. big names dont mean anything if they cant play the Swansea way as we have just found out ....

Why are still talking about Laudrup? He's gone, Get over it. You've got a new target now - Gary Monk

Yeah, we'll, he can't choose "Jinx" this time can he....can he?
    and Bony is scoring, so...

I'm going to plump for Michu.
If we are relegated it will all be Laudrup and Michu's fault, somehow.

PGF!!!I'm telling you the same as I said to Terror. Please don't quote Dai's posts because I have him on IGNORE and I've recently been diagnosed with Dipshit Intolerance. For the sufferers of DI it can be almost unbearable to see those posts. When you do it, it makes me feel a bit sick.

Swanseas board doesn't have the ambitions and class to go for a top coach. Goes for dai as well: no ambition or class, just narrowmindedness and small shoes.

I've got a bit of a wild card suggestion. Chelsea's Masseur, going on the team talk he gave them vs Man City I think he'd do great :cheesy:

Martinez and Rodgers are top coaches so that just blew your statement out of the water. Stop being so bitter towards the board. They've taken a decision in what they see is the best interest of the club, that is survival. As it stands we had taken less than 1 point per game the past 12 months, and the way we played against West Ham didn't fill me with confidence that this downward trend was going to be reversed anytime soon, so I support the decision to sack Laudrup.

Swansea have contacted Bielsea but he's yet to reply to their request

Posted by SPORT WITNESS on February 6, 2014 at 13:13 in Sport Witness FootballView Discussions

"Swansea City have already taken steps to make first contact with former Athletic Bilbao manager Marcelo Bielsa about their managerial vacancy. Garry Monk has taken over the role for the foreseeable future but if it's correct that Swansea have been speaking to other coaches, and Bielsa isn't the only one, then it shows Monk has got a lot to prove if he wants to keep the job permanently.*

Bilbao newspaper El Correo*say contacts have been made but that Bielsa hasn't responded to them as of yet. The 58 year old coach has a wealth of experience, having managed Espanyol and Athletic Bilbao in Spain as well as the Argentina and Chile national teams.

Reports in Bielsa's native Argentina say that Swansea are certainly interested but would have problems meeting the coach's financial demands as well as overcoming the language barrier.

If he did get the job in Wales then fans certainly wouldn't be bored, Bielsa's teams are attacking to a fault and he demands total dedication from his players. At Athletic Bilbao such was the faith shown in him by a largely young squad, he became almost a cult like figure, however, after he threatened to quite more than once the club decided not to renew his contract and he left last summer.*"
