Sorry, put that up in a hurry. We have NH at Ludlow and Carlisle with AW coming from Kempton and Lingfield.

40 points win on Buywise btw.

As you have probably discovered, I'm a bit of a sentimental old git. So I have to put my selection in a small double with Come On Annie in the 15.15 Ludlow. I'm hoping that's what I'll be shouting, excitedly, at the tele come the Festival.

I agree with bitwise as well Ron,

Two I like are wing and a prayer 2.30 lingfield.
Armetis 6.00 Lingfield really bullish about this one I think the 5 furlongs is ideal and think both will be heavily backed to odds on .

    20.00 Kempton- Ex Ex- 5/2

Finally got off the mark in maiden company over this trip in at Lingfield last time and now switched to handicaps- alot was expected in this horse and could make this mark look very generous indeed in his handicap debut.

    16.20 Ludlow- Pearlysteps- 3/1 NB

Completely obliterated the field last month @ Towcester over 3m (heavy) looked to me there is more to come in the sphere and could rack up a few wins if in the same mood as he was lto.

16.30 Carlisle- Baltic Pathfinder- 3/1 NAP

He won pretty much as he liked in similar testing conditions at Sedgefield last month and a 5lb rise looks like it wont be enough to stop him.

Morning all-- very little traffic on here today.... however , there is racing, and in the 2 40 at Ludlow -buywise is seemingly the good thing--i beg to differ -he may well be, but i have enough doubts , Elenika @4/1 -represents the strongest form in this race-third behind Desert Cry and Grey Gold at wetherby-that form been franked very solidly on sat --

Eastern Witness in the 4 30 for the Venetia yard can make it a double day again for them.

    good luck all....

Nice card at Donny tomorrow by the looks of things, troops. Rock on Ruby runs (albeit in a match). Electrolyser takes on the timber debuting First Mohican and Harry The Viking gets another chance to prove he really is a top table beast.

Shocking racing but my only midweek bet is HALLMARK STAR 11/1 4.00 Carlisle. He caught my eye twice at Ayr last season.

The handicapper has kindly dropped him 5lb after he was pulled up LTO and if we put a ljne through that, he has bits of form that suggest he canmake a bit of a mockery off an effective mark of 96 (103 -7lb claim).

    Very small stakes.

Does anyone know how big the stakes can be with betfair or Betdaq. I cannot even enter their sites from here so not sure how these work apart from being betting exchanges. I understand liquidity but how much is usually on offer say for example, todays racing?? I read somewhere that if you were lucky to be winning big you can be charged up to 60% premium charge which sounds like a scandel. After all it is a tax free sport less some commission. If you were for example taking the BFSP and you wanted a couple of grand on a horse what are the chances of getting it on? Thanks

Hi Mark when I was on Betfair there was a maximum stake. Also if your the one that's laying the bet you obviously have to have the funds to cover the bet , the commiaiom was up to a maximum of 5 per cent and aa little as 2,, altHough odds are generally better on there I came off as too complicated for my liking not sûre if this helps perhaps some of the others can add anymore pal

Sorry mark on predictive text don't you hate it lol. Keeps activating itself
My lastpost should have read no maximum limit ,, however you need to be in contacting them
If you go over agreed max stake being used by the client ,, see all too complicated for me lol

Hi Mark, I do most of my betting with Betfair as the odd's are generally better ( around 20% if their advertising is to be believed?), however they do deduct commission ranging from 5 to 2%, depending on your turnover. I only bet to small stakes these days, so I wouldn't know how much you could get on at Betfair S.P.,but I would be surprised if their was a limit as from my days working for Willy Hill at their head office in Leeds, they would take any amount of money at S.P. as they could lay-off and manipulate the market, trying to get decent money on at an advertised price was a different story, in the words of Barny Curley " You'd be lucky to get one banana on to win 2 with the bookies"!
If you need any more info please don't hesitate to contact me,
    Good Luck!
