Well that's Fulham and Swansea down, just one more relegation place to fill, Norwich, or Cardiff for a Welsh double!
Steve Bruce is now the 25th longest serving manager in English football. http://www.leaguemanagers.com/managers/longest-current.html
He already was, I posted that the other day. Laudrup is even still on that list in 26th place as I'm typing this.
I didnt see that you had posted it. My "is now" was in refernce to a thread we had a couple months back. I had noticed that Laudrup was 26th on the list.
The OED says it's chiefly and originally Liverpool and Lancashire slang and compares it to do a bunk and do a runner. Their earliest citation is the Liverpool soap opera Brookside from 1990.
Conjugation; I has done one you has done one he has done one she has done one we has done one you has done one they all has f**king done one!
Been on the cards for a while according to Swansea fans so maybe not a shock to the locals. But it appears that Mr Laudrup has not been what he appears. Some of the rumours and stories to come out are as follows:- 1) Gave the staff 2 days off after the West Ham shambles so that he could go to Paris for a long weekend 2) Hates to train/coach in the rain. 3) Has failed to reign in the cheat known as Florres. 4) Has a divided dressing room and has done for months. 5) Has never made up with Swans chairman Huw Jenkins since the august transfer window. 6) Will be leaving whatever happens in the summer and has made that public. HJ has speedied up the process. 7) Michu and Bony want out. IF that is true then Swansea are DOOOOOOMED.!!!!!
Dont bank on it. What better way to get back @ Vincent Tan than to save Swansea and see Cardiff go down. Dont get mad but get even. But it would be a surprise sadly to see MM back before next season.
Really strange one this, I think they will regret getting rid. I am sure ML will turn out to be a successful manager/coach. It seems the stories going around about him falling out with the Chairman seem to have foundation. Will this be the right decision or not, I guess TWT?
TWT always does John. Reports within the last hour or so say that ML will get a £4.5m pay off as that is cheaper than Swansea going down. Well if the dressing room is divided then the ship is well on the way already. Titanic Swansea anyone ?
Just seen this on Sunderland's board. Agnew @ 33-1 "Agnew is currently Steve Bruce's assistant at Hull City and seen by many as one of the main reasons the Tigers are punching above their weight in the Premier League. He joined in the summer of 2012 and enjoyed a successful first season by securing promotion from the Championship. Angew is a former reserve team and caretaker coach at Middlesbrough, and is a versatile option for the Swans. 33-1" http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/feb/05/michael-laudrup-swansea-city-contenders-manager
Not a chance. An EPL side with Swanseas recent success and ambition is never going to give the reins to a rookie. Nigel Pearson maybe?
Guys we won't be going down, our squad is too good, besides managers for us are like players, 2 a penny, we have a system and if the manager cannot hack it, then tough, whether he's Michael Laudrup or Sousa, we kick them out one way or the other, we move back to what we do best, just watch this space!........
