I'm sick of it. None of our players seem to care. Kasami seemed to wake up after 110 minutes and had a couple of shots, which was the first time we threatened all game. I'm honestly just sick of players who don't seem to care. Where is Karagounis? We needed him tonight. Why... you know what, why do we even bother? We say the same thing every time and yet the team repeats the same mistakes, the same formations, the same teams. And we keep losing. Maybe, just maybe, the club should try doing what the fans want? We can't get much worse than this shambles.
And who was standing there watching his man as he nods it in ....... Dempsey. What a nightmare evening, stayed up to watch a lacklustre performance, some very biased reffing, some even more biased commentating. Rene has major problems, major major problems. Credit to duffers for trying to inject some passion into the team but the players look very deflated. The new players have to start on Sunday against United, we need someone to drag us in the right direction. Well done to the young lads that came in, passley and tankovic looked promising. Leaving Dempsey on and taking rodders off is harsh on rodders but he was pretty poor, but demps was worse. Fair play to Sheffield United stuck to their game plan and it worked. Brayford should not be playing in the first division he was excellent
I am not bothered any more. I had a ticket and preferred not to go as didn't expect anything. Will not be going to Liverpool either unless I see some effort on Sunday.
Relegation's going to hit you really hard. I was in the "neutral end" when S'land gave you a spanking, it's going to be a ghost town Vs Yeovil et al... Tourists don't like championship football. I can't imagine your trendy well-heeled mob will fancy Huddersfield on a Tuesday night either.
Yup. I can't believe I paid to get soaked, struggle through the tube strike and watch that drivel. As others have said, no fight, no desire, no nothing. Except that is, static players, pirouettes from Parker, sideways and backward passing. Wilkins Out!!!
That was just the most inept performance for a very long time. The whole team were just shocking. Confidence after that display must be at an all time low. I'm up in Manchester on Sunday - God help us. Sheffield fans were good I have to say but glad they stayed in the ground to celebrate and allow us a quick exit from the ground. I could not bear the jubilation. Mitroglou must be thinking what the hell have I done !
Just got back home after having to get buses all the way back to Enfield. All I can say it was utter garbage and an embarrassment to the club. Who's to blame ? Who knows ? For me the only player who put in any effort was Kasami.
Tankovic and Passley were our best players. Other than that well done to United. Their game plan worked. Its no good having so much possession if you don't do anything with it in the final 3rd. Defensively the back 4 looked okay. There wasnoone in the middle, except Tank, that would get hold of tne game by the scruff of the neck and push on with purpose. Why was Dejgah on the left? Too many questions that I can't answer. Deflated and miserable.
I was one of the lucky ones who didn't have the endure the game, saw the first 15 and last 5 and kept up on my phone for the rest. Can't make much comment on individuals, looking at match stats; Fulham : Sheff Utd Possession 68: 32 Shots 14 : 20 On target 2 : 3 Corners 6 : 10 it's quite depressing. At home to a league 1 team and we manage 1 shot on target per hour - less, overall, than the visiting team. In the first 15 it looked a familiar story with the defenders passing it between Stek and Parker and not really threatening at all. Dempsey's signing utterly pointless, he's a player out of form, ageing, doesn't play a position that suits our supposed system and, as shown last night, isn't invested in our cause. I don't know what the story with Dejegah is, maybe he is a bad trainer and the coaches want more from him before he can start. I've got a horrible feeling that the weekend coming with see us go with two fake wingers again, on the wide Utd pitch.
Yet again the wrong team selection: * Kasami is not a right winger, Dejagah should have been there * The Tank is not a midfielder, David should have been there * Dempsey just isn't, The Tank should have been there Worse though was the tactical ineptness of the Management "Team". It was obvvious after 20 minutes how the game play was going to pan out. At the very least there should have been instructions from the touchline for Stockdale to get the ball up field quickly with our lot pushing high, instead of the cumbersome, dithering, slow passing from our own penalty area. By which time everyone was marked and/or devoid of ideas where to go. More realistically, there should have been half time substitions. Firstly, drop to three at the back (as Froggy suggested right from the beginning) taking Hangeland off. Secondly, sub Dempsey with David and switch him and The Tank. There are probably alternative changes that people would suggest, but the main point is that to do nothing was criminal. When the subs did come they were of the routine kind (yet nonetheless bizarre) and at the usual routine point in a game. As I said no tactical nous from the "Top" lot. Our mantra for this season is undoubtedly: Why is it the fans on the terraces can see what's wrong and the Management can't?
It's a strange imbalance between experienced players and inexperienced chairman and manager. I wonder if the players can see the mistakes and switch off because of it.
If the management can't see can the players deliver a performance that will change their mind?? Hangeland is too nice for captain and we are missing Murphy.
We should have those last four words translated into Latin and added to the club badge as an official motto.
