More positives than negatives for me .Thanks Mr Laudrup , classier than most . Well with 14 game left ,I wonder who'll get the golden bullet off Dai. I mean he's had his wish come true so we'll have to see who the next scape goat will be .Guaranteed there'll be another one without doubt .
No, no, no! I'm not having that. Monk inherits a side in 12th place, in 2 cup competitions, with all our injured players coming back...some have had minutes in 2 games to start getting match fit. Some of you guys would shout "excuse!" every time a poster defended Laudrup by listing the reasons why our form had dipped. There can be no excuse from you lot for Monk and the board if it all goes pear shaped can there.
Monk inherits a team 2 points away from the drop zone. Our form has been tragic since the Cup of last year, why? Laudrup couldn't motivate this team, why? The right decision has been made, and Monk is temperary in my view, at least he knows which players will now fight for the life of our club, we now have a fighting chance, and at last we can put to bed all that negative narrow football of Laudrup's, a manager he is not!...................
Do i know my football or do i know my football...I said he will get sacked before the season ends and as per usual i was spot on again..
We need a squad of players who'll fight for the life of the club will Monk get that .,hope so otherwise it's going be a long 4 months
Michael Laudrup the player was an absolute class act and we are honoured to be associated with a man of that stature. Last season i would have said pretty much the same about Laudrup the manager but we tailed off badly and that form has continued into this season and tbh when the going got tough he really failed to convince. maybe that was because of behind the scene turmoil we may never know but it would like to join the rest by saying cheers Michael thanks for the memories and good luck where you end up next.
If we go down then it will be because of 18 months of laudrups dross...nothing more to be said...Monk has to try and repair the team spirit and if there was anyone better than him who knows exactly what we are capable of having played under the two most successful managers our club has ever had with martinez and Brendan then he has more than a fighting chance..
As has so often been proved on this forum you know Jack sh.it about football. You a serial troll who persistently moans about the Swans - so eventually you are BOUND to be "right". Now you gloat in Michael Laudrups sacking. GO F.UCK YOURSELF YOU WEASEL.
Getting your excuses in early there I see. If we go down the blame will be headed straight at the board and all those who wanted Laudrup out. Your head is firmly on the choping block now Dai, and I think you realise it.
Thanks for being a part of the history of our great club Michael & especially the pleasure of the last few minutes away at the Emirates. It will be difficult to surpass that ecstasy for me!! For that we should be honoured!! However, we needed to move on, it wasn't going to get back to those heady times again, I'm afraid. I started to get concerned the end of last season. The times we've not turned up this season & if we have, the times we've been utterly clueless as an attacking threat, have been too numerous to mention. The team need to respond again, before it was too late!!
Monk inherits a team with 8 other teams below us . If I can get past my heartbreak of Laudrup gone , I'm actually happy and exci ted about Monk . He starts out not much different than Martinez , with no expierence.
It does feel massively underwhelming for me with monk in charge. But as was mentioned before, he has had the mix of Martinez, Sousa (he still counts!) Rodgers and laudrup! If he has taken all these methods on board and plans to utilise the strengths of each individual person, we could be in for one very very good manager. I pray he's a very very good manager
