Figueroa lacks competition for his place which I am sure has an effect. In our first few games of the season he was solid, now he's far from it, sadly. Matthew Briggs is out of contract at Fulham this summer, he's good going forward and would suit the wing-back role. I also think Buttner at Man Utd would make a good wing-back, not suit if either suit just playing left-back though...
I have to agree. Was it just me, or was almost every pass he played done so at half the speed it should have been. Didn't seem to be too much urgency going forward from him
Disagree with this, Meyler is a very good box to box player, But gives the ball away far too easily. He is just not consistent enough, whereas Livermore is. Livermore over Meyler every day for me!
I wasn't suggesting Meyler is better than Livermore, only that it would be harsh to drop Meyler after his performance on Saturday. I haven't a clue how we'll line up for this one, the 4-4-2 worked better than the 3-5-2 we have been playing, but it's an away game and I'm not sure Brucey will stick with it.
Highly unlikely SB with leave Hudd out, even though the last couple of games he has not been at his best, he still is an important cog in the wheel, and the partnership he has with Livermore is very stable.
I expect Rosie to do a man 2 man on Adam Johnson. Looking at Slumberlands attacking options 3 at the back should be enough. In saying that i would like to see Faye up against Altidore. Lol. Yes i have done and i do notice what they all do. But others were better than Meyler especially after he got booked. Although this is me agreeing with Ricardo, ^^^^^ this. Rosie has done very well against better than Adam Johnson. A good kick early doors should slow AJ down. Why not ? Lets get at them from the off.
Meyler "SAUNTERS" around box to box but he has no end product ,he just surrenders or gives the ball away with a poor pass.
