look at what happened in Mallorca when Erik Larsen cleared out. ML walked. i feel this is to force ML out as its Laudrups way or no way.
Very true Ivor, I could see the sense of Jones coming in to steady the ship, but putting Monk in charge at this level is criminal, it cannot be right in my view, wires are getting crossed, though I can see Monk coming in to the coaching setup, but not first team manager!...........
Yes indeed, they are definitely elbowing him out, just as they did Sousa, cannot see Laudrup staying if all his backroom staff are kicked out, but then he didn't turn up to the meeting according to Dai, but doing this has only one outcome!..............
Looking at this with another slant, if Monk goes to the coaching staff and relinquishes his jersey does that mean we have a squad place to fill and can therefore snap up a player who is out of contract?
Here are the quotes ML will use when he walks..... I didn't come here for the money. I came because it was a nice project. Swansea will be whatever Huw Jenkins wants it to be. conflict between the coaches and club officials has contributed to Swansea's lackluster play this season.
I wonder what the odds are for a Graeame Jones and Garry Monk management team for next season. If these rumours are true, that's how it looks to me.
And remember all the speculation last time? Then ML turned up out of the blue. I'm sure clubs contribute to rumours so that they can get on with interviewing the real candidate while everyone is looking elsewhere.
I felt that when Pep Clotet came in as Academy Consultant that he was going to be our next manager. . Young, needs the challenge and i feel that Huw brought him in to learn the "Swansea way" in preperation for ML doing one.. so my ££££ is going on Pep as the next boss.. Malmo asked if he would go back and be their No1 less than a month after he joined us, he refused event though he was assistant manager there in 2010..
Wasn't it the perceived wisdom by everyone that Laudrup would be leaving at the end of this year whatever happened? He always said that management wasn't everything to him and that it was simply a good fit with with us and him at the time. I just think the player's are perhaps not performing as they might in the knowledge that he's leaving, and all the goings on with Huw and the board is simply the preparation for when he leaves in the summer. It's a bit of a shame that things are falling away as they are, but managing his eventual exit was always going to be difficult, it's virtually impossible for any club (Sir Alex Ferguson excepted, as I don't think the Man Utd players dared ease off under him)
Everyone was saying that Weighorst was the pretender to the throne , now Clotet. could be but who brought him to the club.?
I find it hard to believe that all of us can see the insanity of Garry Monk becoming manager, yet are assuming Huw Jenkins - more involved in the club than any of us, can't see it. Are we to believe that Huw is stupid ? I've seen nothing in the media that makes me believe most of the stories that are popping up on this thread are happening. Just seems everyone is having a guess at what is going down in the hood.....
Garry monk is a none starter for manager, complete joke, and I don't believe it!......................
I would hope not, but quite frankly with all the stuff that is floating around as fact and this and that, it's takes a tremendous amount of faith to believe that this is not the case. Even if just some of the stuff that's been bantered around is accurate you cannot help but shake your head in dismay.
