I've given up trying to guess what will happen and have resigned myself to expecting the worst but hoping for the best. My preference of the two options at the moment would be whichever has the best interest of the club's future at heart. With Bates it was obvious to anyone, who wasn't blinded by hope, that he was just going to do what he'd done time and time again. With both of these options, it's hard to know what their self interest will be and if it's compatible with the long term stability and progress of the club.
I agree, I'm pissed bored regarding the takeover fiasco, we as supporters will be the last to know what's happening and I don't trust any of the suits anyway. Sick of the politics. Whoever takes over will divide the supporters. FFS when can we just get on with football matters.......fecking depressing the whole episode.....
Agree and I just can't understand why we are losing so much money, other clubs are coping, even when you take into account the 25% gate receipts loan. What are we averaging per home game 26,000? If so deduct 25% and it still equates to 20k or just under. What is the average ticket value, £32.00?? Multiply that by say 6,000 fans lost it is £192,000 we play 23 home games so £4.4 million over a whole season.
How much do the directors take out in wages and expenses. Cant be cheap flying over and back to the middle east or whatever. Of course, maybe they do it for free like Bates did
Exactly, I was thinking that myself Ristac, where IS the money going.....it doesn't make sense. I was hoping after bates had gone that the days of creaming off money had gone.....but something ain't right...
Season ticket sales gone and 2 more seasons of that thanks to Bates (Ticketus) spending on the east stand instead of the team. Another mortgage/loan that Bates took out too, plus £2m in rent and rates doesn't leave much especially when the club have lost a whole generation of support due to Bates's policy of high ticket pricing. This club is riddled with debt and always will be until someone spends some cash, and Farham/Haigh/Pearson et al dont have enough to do anything and deffo not enough to buy back ER/TA. We already know that the Leeds project needs £100m and I don't see anyone willing to do that. The Italian is the nearest thing to it though and is making the right noises. We dont need vanity owners any more, but promotion gets the club £100m before we even think about the extra revenue from full houses, merchandising, catering ........
That's cheered me up Doc, thanks and there I was thinking that the group who took over from Bates had sorted things out.......
Correct but 25 players on average of say 8k a week is 200k a week or 10.4 million per year. Add 2m rent and the other loans and staff and directors, its easy to see the income disappearing very fast
That's the thing that pisses people like me off who have no business attributes what so ever, it's the estimated expenses to run the club. I'd love to see a breakdown of accounts, not how much each person is paid, but just a run down of the incoming and the out going expenses. I mean where do people on 606 get the figures. Is it just based on an educated guess or do people actually have the real numbers in front of them...
Shaks Look at any of the published accounts over the last 4 seasons and you'll see a big hole!! We made a loss every year if you dont add player sales. Thats why Bates flogged players every year to make the accounts look like we made a profit
Cellino did not turn down any bids for McCormack, GFH (Haigh) did ... the fool is a CONVICTED (TWICE) criminal facing yet another charge ... he fled his homeland, has just about destroyed Cagliari, and showed us exactly what he's made of with his actions on Friday ... this man should not be allowed anywhere near our club, and if you can't see that then you need to look again ... Cellino will be a nightmare, he is looking to make a buck ... if we get to the Prem with him in charge don't for one minute think he will reinvest the £90m into the club, that won't happen ... he is here to fleece English football, not build a footballing empire ... why the fcuk try and buy Crystal Palace? Doc, excuse my ignorance, but I wouldn't know where to look, yes I am that thick.... But thanks for at least explaining where you find the figures.......
Couldn't care less who takes over Leeds United , as long as they care more about the plight of the average loyal Leeds fan . It's teetering on criminal what the fans have been been dragged through since the 15 point deduction fiasco .The fans deserve better but I won't hold my breath.
