Think of Jesus Christ ( parted down the middle ......... sorry, can't walk on water ) with blond, going grey, now with a touch of silver. The tide is definitely starting to go out but personally, I can't wait till it all goes silver ( the distinguish look ) so then I can apply for a job as a TV news-reader anchor or possibly a commercial airline pilot. Roger that.

That'll be an unusual comb-over... Still got all my hair - sadly most of it no longer dark. However, at 48 at least I can still go out in winter without a hat, should I choose....
Yes it's strange how as you age hair diminishes where you want it and appears invigorated where you don't want it. My barber spends nearly as much time trimming nose, ear and facial hair as what's left of my thatch. I like to keep the grey goatee neat...
I went thin about 7-8 yrs ago. Bit the bullet and lopped it all off. Regular No.1 now and love it. I, like Sooper, insist on my goatee nice and neat. Cue double-endendres!
This is my nightmare thread So hair is not a great topic with me...........................I have congenitally thin hair and a lack of hair follicles...my mother and grandmother the same...but neither daughter has the problem HURRAH. I have had thin hair since birth and in a certain light I look bald, always have, if I grow my hair long it pulls it out and looks even worse if that is possible...now this is a real problem for a girl....bald men...full of testosterone, real hulks and sexy with it. apparently baldy women...not a good look... have always wanted to go for the Sinead O'Connor look, but being also round, not sure that would work either. I have spent a lifetime overcoming it. Stopped going to hairdressers when one said..."I have never seen hair as bad as yours, how can anyone ruin their hair as you have"...walked out in tears. My hair is now short and always dyed, found a great hairdresser who understands (and gives me cut-price rates...in compensation)..all measures give the appearance that there is more than there is...but I still cannot wear a hat...as all that does induce a static reaction and I take on a Ken Dodd appearance.... Was avoiding this thread ...but a boring morning has made me spill to you my inner most secrets. So you think you have got is bad....think again
Well, for the first time ever, about two weeks before Christmas, decided to grow (at the ripe old age of 50) my first ever attempt at facial hair. I decided on a goatee... going to try full bushy first...then trim back, as and when. Wife hates it....which is an encouragement !!
At a moderately ripe age of 32 my hair is (to quote the mighty boosh) like "brown smoke"...thin and depreciating in cover (bit like Arsenal's midfield). Keeping it short is the key - and I've sported a full beard since I was 25 or so. My dad has a beautiful head of silver hair...then only thing he seems to have passed on to me is a grumpy approach to DIY and a lifelong love of QPR. Still, I'd rather be a balding QPR fan with cr*p shelves than a Chelsea fan...
