Don't think this has been done before but was just wondering what other sports people play and to what level?

I love playing and watching golf. I currently play off a six handicap and am Captain of my local club Concra Wood.

I was also a decent footballer but never had enough pace to play at any respectable level. My brain could always see the game really well but my feet didn't always do what they were told. I played as a DCM and then CB but like Hill and Dunne I needed real pace beside me.
Greatest achievement was playing against the Eritrean national side in their national stadium.

I was a Judo player for 13 years & was fortunate enough to represent GB at Junior, School boy & U21 levels. Greatest achievement was a bronze at the Student World Games.
These days I have the body & fitness level of a bread n butter pudding & only really have time for the occasional round of Golf!

Gave up golf when my son beat me in Majorca a couple of years ago......

Very poor footballer, but played until 40ish, on an occasional basis. My position was a good guide to the quality of the team. I, naturally, saw myself as a creative number 10, but only played there in very poor teams, in the decent teams was a right or centre back. Crowning moment - the 'mini Mondiale' in Milan 1990 when England (us, a pub team and actually Anglo-Italian) came back from a 3-0 deficit to beat Italy 5-4 in the semi's, relaxed over lunch including plenty of wine and a few smokes, trouncing Germany (yes!) in the final. Very definitely a CB that day, we had ex youth team players from Portsmouth, Southampton and Atalanta in the team.

Only sport I was ever any good at cricket, Middlesex League and county colts as a teenager. But it was always too time consuming, and when I discovered exactly how good I was at a net session with county first teamers - not quite good enough - I let it drift, rapidly.

Obviously I do Judo! I am a brown belt, currently going for my black belt. Have in the past been a member of the Sussex County Squad and won several medals. These days I am also a qualified coach so voluntarily help run my local club.

Also play 5 a side football in my university league every week. Not the greatest of teams but its all good fun!

Every now and again I also play a bit of golf with mates when time allows.

Didn't realise we had any other (ex)Judo players on here! Sounds like you were pretty good! Out of interest which club were you part of?

As I kid I started at a club called Budokan in Frimley Surrey, then moved to Camberley Judo club where many an international has been produced. I trained a lot at High Wycombe when it was the centre of excellence along with training at many other clubs around the South East. Was along time ago, wish I had that level of fitness these days!!

I started out doing Lau Gar Kung Fu in my teens, training under 'The Jedi', Kevin Brewerton, then moved on to Tae Kwon Do and finally Kick Boxing.
I even won a 3rd place in the BUTF championships the early 90's but got banned the year after for hitting my opposition harder than i should (It was a semi contact bout) :(

Had to retire from rugby & 5 a side at 32 after breaking my knee.

Do a fair bit of cycling, a lot of shooting and race classic touring cars extremely badly.

Always loved cricket, my Grandpa used to take to matches regularly when I was young, then went with mates alot during Uni days.

But absolutely useless at playing it !!

In my twenties ran a lot of marathons and then progressed into triathlons (did a couple of ironman distance), then into purely cycling racing, average ability but enjoyed the competition.

Tried a variety of different sports when I was a teenager. Played Sunday League football, cricket with the Surrey Colts back in 69, badminton to a reasonable standard, used to cycle at Herne Hill and tried Speedway at Rye House when it was a youth training track but gave up after two bad crashes (you have to be certified to be a speedway rider). Played Snooker and Pool and was the South East London Pool League Player-of-the-Year in the 1980-81 season. Eventually took up golf but arthritis in my back put an end to that a few years ago...

Skating I still ride a bowl from time to time but early in the morning. Used to get paid to do it when i was much younger

Surfing ... very hard this year in Morocco as had trouble getting on the board .. put on 4 stone since i used to do it regular like so was a bloody shock plus i had to go back to a longboard

Football still play 5 a side now and played for many years in Sussex/South London and France in both Saturday and Sunday football.
France : had to learn to play all over again as they are streets ahead of us... I can play a bit

Fishing ... matches don't do as much as I prefer to take things a lot more easy and travel around the uk as and when ... next stop Hampshire Avon later this month for big roach
