to seeing Jela, Long and Sone on the pitch at the same time; gonna take some stopping I reckon.............also with Jela and Sone having played together before at Rangers should come together v quickly.

Hopefully Sone makes it through the mid week game planned and makes the bench at The SOL

Unless we play a front 3, how is Aluko going to fit in? I'd love to see it cause as you say the prospect of watching a fully firing Aluko (and Brady) link in with Long and Jela is mouthwatering.

Could we play Aluko on the right of a 4-4-2 instead of Elmo? That'd look really strong even if a bit too attacking.

Aluko at RM Brady at LM with Thudd and Livermore as CM's. It's mighty tasty going forward but I feel our defence would be ****ting themselves at the lack of cover. Don't get me wrong, I think you have to trust defenders to defend but they need a wee bit more help than that middle 4 would give.

Nice problem for Brucey. 3-5-2, but then maybe 3-4-1-2 with Sone just behind Jela and Long? On Saturday Jela and Long I believe ran further than everyone else apart from Meyler so certainly options to defend from the front with some energy and positional movement for a change. That said Brucey may decide to be not so adventurous? I see Sone making the bench at best on Saturday given he's just back after a long lay off. It'll be good to have Jake back in on Sat also.......

at home I think the 3-4-1-2 with Aluko behind the front 2 would be fantastic.

We've had issues with the midfield and the strikers not linking up recently, Aluko solves that problem if he plays just behind the front two.

Prior to Saturday I'd have been worried at the lack of width with that set up but after seeing how well Long and Jela use the forward space, I think that's do-able.

Im sure Bruce plans to play a 5-3-2 with livermore & huddlestone as centre mids and aluko ahead of them "in the hole" just behind long & jela.

that way Brady also fits into the team when fit playing at left wing back. there you have aluko, jela, long, brady, thudd & livermore all in the starting 11.

Yeah I think our ideal formation is the 5-3-2 with Brady and Elmo wing-backs, and Aluko in the hole behind Jela and Long, in the role that Koren and Boyd have played a bit when we've been attacking the game.

Really exciting, but it's one of those things where you don't want to jinx it and get ahead of yourself. Just want them all fit and playing before I start getting too excited about the prospect.

That's what I was thinking, that looks to be the obvious choice.

That leaves Rossy out, I think we look more secure at the back with a flat back four with him in it. Maybe at home go with 3412, and 442 with Aluko playing right side instead of Elmo away.

All true, but can you really see us playing a back 3 with only two central midfielders to cover them? I just don't see it happening.

Depends if SB is going for a point or 3? Sometimes you just have to just go for it with your best attack and let them worry about us! I'd prefer aluko coming on later myself when their centre backs are blowing a bit!

    Aluko is left footed.

If we did stick with 4-4-2 he might play LM but not RM (unless Bruce wanted him to play narrow and cut in on his left)

When he first signed for us that's the role he played. Right wing cutting inside. The when it turned out we had no strikers (Prossy was ****, Fryatt got injured) he moved up front. Don't think he's ever played LM for us.
