Personally i think we will take them to the cleaners. They were dire against WHU, i just hope that cheating git Chico doesnt get one of our sent off.
Honestly I'm not sure we have it in us to take anyone to the cleaners right now. To poor teams at the moment, I hope we can be the least worst on the day. The thing we have in our favour is we're a work in progress, there is the possibility of dramatic improvement in performance as/if the system and players click. In their favour Michu might be back and Chico is a cheating **** who might manage to cheat his way to some points.
Chico had his hair messed slightly and fell on the floor holding his face like he had been waffted with pepper spray Hope he doesn't ruin this game by cheating! Might have to have Ole laughing at him like big Sam I'm fairly confident for the game to be honest, pressure is all on the jacks I think. NO-ONE will want to lost this one though! BLUEBIRDS!!
Im not confident at all for this game. Teams seemed to have worked us out at home. They sit back then hit us on the counter. Even the big teams do this at our ground now. In our first season they would always come at us and attack, we beat man city, liverpool and Arsenal that season. This season however our possession stats have gone through the roof as teams are just letting us have the ball but then they are hitting us hard on the break. My only hope is that OGS hasnt figured this out yet, sticks to his attacking mentality and comes at us at our place. If so i feel he will be playing to our major strengths as we have the pace to attack fast when teams open themselves up.
I think if they fail to win they will go down. Both sides looked like relegation outfits on Saturday. Lets face it we were all over the place on Saturday and aint taking anyone to the cleaners.
It would take a massive turn around of form to get anything down there if the Norwich game is anything to go by. It looked like we were on the right tracks after the Man U game, but we were clearly derailed on Saturday. The hope factor being held out is that Swansea have lost their way and the off-field stuff is not helping them. We can't rely on that and I think it'll take a bit more than that to come away with even a point. Ole needs to get the selection and tactics spot on. Going for it gung ho could be very costly. Suggestions that both Zaha and Noone will start may be wide of the mark. I'd like to see it eventually, but we'd be better off with someone to protect our full backs initially - where it goes form there will decide the result.
I think both will start. However Id drop Noone and play Bellamy wide to protect Fabio. Then theres the problem who comes in. We cant play 442. Can Campbell play behind Jones. Bring in Daehli or Kim?
I'd start Zaha and someone better going backwards on the other wing in front of Fabio. Kimbo can be trusted to put in a shift even if he's not the most natural winger. Another option could be KTC with Fabio in front of him. Mutch and Medel pick themselves in cm. Be interesting to see if Cala goes straight in next to Caulker.
Don't see how either camp can feel any confidence this coming Saturday. As far as we are concerned we don't have a team that plays together or for each other at the moment. We had 3 players introduced Saturday and that can account for the disjointed way we played, if that can be worked out and improved on by Saturday, we have a fair chance. In all honesty I would consider a draw a good result, but should we manage to get some understanding going then we could snatch this one.
I think we'll play 4-4-1-1 with Bellers in the withdrawn 10 role. I hope Ole watched MOTD (tongue in cheek) as the Swans failed totally to deal with Carrols physicality. Now I'm all on board for our brave new total football world but on Saturday we shouldn't be afraid to get the ball to KJ quickly and play off him. That's not hoof ball, just playing the ball forward quickly to our new strikers main strength. Most of our best play on Saturday involved that route rather than slowly passing sideways till we got caught anyway!
I also think this is how we will line up. Id just axe Noone to allow Bellamy to go wide for defensive duites.
As above I would expect us to target your full backs where you look vulnerable and hopefully get some good balls into Wilf (ours not yours). I am not sure Michu will start but would hope he comes of the bench and he could be the game turner.
I'd drop Noone too and I think Ole's reluctance to start both wingers against Norwich means there's a fair chance he won't again on Saturday. I'd leave Bellers in the middle though and let Kim go wide. I think we'll benefit from Bellers energy and commitment all around the park not just tracking one winger.
I read last night that if CCFC win our overall record will go to 20 wins a peice and we'll equal on league points - things have surely never been so equal
Both teams from Wales will be staying up. We don't have to , Cardiff do . Were 2 points from relegation , with 8 teams below us , it's amazing . Lot of numbers in the mix but when the fat lady stops singing , I think Swansea and Cardiff will have a chair regardless of the outcome of this game, which we will win of course .
Breezeblock - good to see you posting again. I also believe that both sides will play in the Premier League next season. That's not based upon club loyalty though there may be a degree of wishfull thinking and an expectation of a marked improvement under Ole for us. As far as Swansea go, my theory is that if you stay ahead of us and you should do, you would obviously also be OK. Bottom three predictions abound, but mine will be between Palace, Fulham, Stoke and Hull who I think are in for a bad run.
well yes you kind of do if you go you'll lose half your team your manager and all of the tv money. sure you'll have parachute payments but that's not enough to pay your players that will still be there. Not trying to WUM here but just stating truths
