And wasn't moving freely for the next 10 minutes or so either. On the subject of diving cheating foreigners though, have you seen this yet: Now the video is online because the referee has called the captains over, sick of giving out yellow cards he's telling them for the rest of the game it's a red card or nothing. But what amuses me is the foul that prompts it. The guy is "fouled" on 8 seconds and just collapses onto the floor. He's still on the floor 5 seconds later but suddenly jumps up to go and hack down the player who'd fouled him. Then you compare that to the guy who got properly smashed into for the red card but has jumped up almost before the ref even has chance to blow the whistle.
I have no idea who that is and I cant be arsed to google. And to be clear, I never said I looked like the Murs, Ive just been told on several occasions that I do. He's a handsome bastard is that lad.
Andy Carroll just had his appeal rejected, that red card stands - Flores shameful reaction convinced the referee to give Carroll that red. Chico Flores should get a 3 match ban too for his antics - mind you REF's should be stronger.
Andy Carroll was stupid lashing out like he did. In law the red card was correct. But the FA being the FA will do nothing against Flores. Maybe someone else will.
Andy Carroll misses the following 3 Hammers games. Aston Villa away on saturday 8th feb plus 2 home PL games against Norwich(11th) and Southampton(22nd).
Good for us but bad for the game. Carroll might have been stupid but Chico cheated and got rewarded for it. Just like Johnson did for Norwich and in both cases the victim of the cheating had their ban upheld. Both of the cheating twats will do it again and again until they are punished. Why is no one in football doing anything about this?
Neither Flores or Johnson cheated, they exagerrated what was already a red card offence. I have no respect for what either did in the sense of play-acting/diving, but I would hardly brand either a cheat, as both Remy and Carroll deserved to be sent off, as has been reflected in the decisions of their appeals.
Rolling around on the floor, deliberately trying to get someone sent off is cheating. It's cheating the ref, the victim who ends up getting sent off and the fans who pay good money to watch a proper match rather than a pantomime.
It seems like every game I watch in the Premiership there is at least one player goes down that should just be carrying on with the game, I find the likes of Evra particularly annoying as he is supposed to be a captain or at least a very senior member of the team and hes on the floor at the slightest touch. Suarez too, always looks like he will burst out crying after the slightest tackle, he actually has a face like a 5 year old a lot of the time if you watch him after a tackle and even has childish gestures like holding his face like he's been smacked in the face with a plank. It never used to be like this or at least half as bad, something needs to be done.
Do you not see how badly you're missing the point here? It's not about what those players did. It's about the people rolling around. Personally I think the Carroll one was debatable and the Remy one was ridiculous (he didn't nut him whatsoever) but that isn't the point. I don't really care about the daft sods who put themselves in those positions. What I am bothered about is those making a mockery of the game rolling around like that. Particularly when it's the same players doing it time and time again. It's obviously premeditated. The fact they get rewarded for it is disgusting.
What annoyed me about the Carroll sending off was the way he felt the need to let down his long, girl like hair as was walking down the tunnel. Looked a right f**king pansy.
Hm then you're missing my point. I've already condemned them for rolling around on the floor, I only take issue with calling them cheats. That would suggest they have wrongfully had Remy and Carroll sent off, when as you have also acknowledged, my point is they were rightfully sent off.
No way was Remy rightfully sent off. He did **** all. You've fallen for Johnson's cheating. Watch it again. They just lean heads against each other in that weird way footballers like to when they're cross. There was no forward movement from Remy but Johnson made the ref, and you, think there was.
He pressed his head against Johnson's. In today's football that is a sending off every day of the week. Hell Sagbo got sent off for even attempting to do that.
Where have you got the idea that Remy leant against Johnson and not vice versa? In reality there was no clear initiation by either party. They both leant against each other and Johnson went down, knowing he'd get Remy sent off. Other than Johnson's pathetic action, there was nothing to suggest Remy did anything worse than Johnson did.
