This is a insightful movie thats fascinating and at times rather poignant, funny, sad and a somewhat revealing docu/movie about Ginger Baker the cantankerous and curmudgeonly drummer who played with Cream, Blind Faith, Hawkwind and many others ... a good way to spend a Sunday afternoon IMHO nsfw has plenty of swearing and adult themes
Was he in Ginger Baker's Hair Farce? I half remember seeing them at Leeds. Dozens on stage it seemed. And then he went blind and found God. My memory is a bit hazy, I may have had a ginger ale before the gig.
Ginger Bakers Air force had Steve Winwood on keys and vocals mate ...the blind and God bit I don't know about ...it's most likely drugs
Absolutely right but there were about twenty members including Rik Grech and they all seemed to be on stage when I saw them. The Blind Faith thing was a bit odd. I got the impression they got together and made it up as they went along rather than over prepare.
love a bit of winwood me like
Blind Faith did make song cracking songs imo ... tbf most of the members we're of their trolley at the time one of my favs
here's a 3 minute trailer/taster of the above film
You bastard......I thought I'll just put it on for a few minutes before I go to bed......90mins later And the end credits are rolling. Seriously though, thanks for posting it as I really enjoyed it. I've always liked nut jobs like Hunter S Thompson, and now I know that Ginger's on par with him.
I agree mate he's some character, the music business nowadays seldom produce or encourage 'nut jobs' like Baker ...glad you enjoyed it mate
