Don't know why but seemed 100% better than I've experienced all season. It's been very subdued so far but the crowd really got behind the team and got themselves heard, even when we went behind. Was very good to see and hear.....hopefully it'll continue 'cos it might just make a difference.
the crowd responds to the team, if the team attack, the crowd will be there and back them. if they piss about passing it along the back four with negative tactics and not bother to get it in the final third, the crowd will not bother if the players aren't bothered.
That was very noticeable on the TV Staines. Much much louder than normal. Barton mentioned it on his twitter machine earlier too so the players do notice when the fans are behind them.
Sounded fairly quiet on mine too to be honest, except after we scored and near the end when it sounded great.
The crowd responds to what they see, the most entertaining match of the season and the most nerve-wracking...
I think it was partly due to the fact we were against Burnley but I believe it was mainly the fact that we've lost Charlie boy and so we now have a "let's get through this together" feel. We had our sloppy moments but we had quite a gung-ho feel. I think togetherness is starting to show.
I met Brian Murphy after the game. he said the atmosphere in the club is excellent. they all genuinely believe we can go up. Kevin Doyle made a big impact after only 1 training session and really thinks he can do well for us in our remaining games.
It was the best I can remember this season. Us attacking from the onset made the difference, there was actually something to get behind. Long may it continue.
