He makes everything look so simple. Everytime I watch him he just gets better. Today he looked so far better than everyone else on the pitch it was unbelievable.

They will ask for £8m minimum because they know how much we will want him. Problem is I reckon Laudrup will get the boot and the next manager will want to keep Ki. If Laudrup stays he will let Ki go, but honestly, other teams will be in for him. Might get some big names from the continent come in. Not only is he a good player, he is also a good marketing buy for Asia. You could imagine him playing for Monaco, Roma, Napoli, Dortmund and that calibre of team. Can you imagine how good he would be in a team with players of his ability all around him so he could express himself more? He'd be amazing.

I do think though that he will look at the situation he has got here and see that we are the best for his development. He will play for us every game under and manager that demands the kind of football that is custom made for Ki. If he want's to become a proper established premier league player and play for one of the big big team one day then we are his best choice by miles.

    He's been a revelation.

You could double that 8m and we'd still struggle to find/attract a better player for the money

Ki was your best player by far today, he is so composed on the ball, especially in such a big game... Like a certain Cabaye! He turns away from trouble so many times! If you keep him it'll be a hell of a signing.

Well done today, you wanted it so much more and altidore absolutely bossed our cb's

Good luck for the season, you'll never go down bow

I don't post much but had to on this thread as he was quality today!

    This 100%.

Alonso, Borini and Ki are exactly the kind of footballers that will play the Poyet way perfectly. Bardsley and Colback will sign contracts imo and Gus is going nowhere. i get the sense he is getting the Sunderland bug here that infected Quinny so badly. The 9000 at Old Trafford has blown him away and we have Wembley to come after that and another FA Cup run?

He has achieved such a status in a short space of time here, I think he will want to take us to the next stage IMO. Would love to see a Gus Poyet team in Europe as that passing, controlling, possession style he is bringing here would be perfect.

No worries mate. I was there today as always frustrated as f*** but my god did you want it so much more, same as last time I started a thread (last 3-0) on here...the foreign plauers havn't a clue what it means to us and couldn't care less, shames me too say it but we need a barton/nolan type player to show what it means.

The best signing SAFC can make in the short term is to get Poyet tied to a long term contract. Davie Jones, the Sunderland lad who is a reporter / presenter at SSN has stated that Gus has been "noticed" by other clubs. SAFC are now playing the passing game and his style has been picked up in Europe, and Gus is well known...he *will be scouted. Similarly, Borini, Alonso and sadly Ki, are all attracting attention from bigger clubs in the EPL and around Europe. Ellis Short will have to spend big if he wants to keep these lads. They have all demonstrated how good / big this club can be if the right people are here. A manager who is a terrific tactician ( notice that his subs change a game). He knows a good player when he sees one. The three loanees are the standard of player we have been waiting for,
for yonks. Will Ellis take the next step?

He is nothing like Cabaye, he doesn't do niggling snidey horrible fouls and go down as if poleaxed if the ball is taken off him. <ok>

Maybe, but if Laudrup is still there, there may be a chance Ki will put in a transfer request.

...and the way you're playing, you might be relegated. Ki on the cheap? Who knows, eh? but he's enjoying himself with us, so there's every chance he puts in a transfer request this summer.
