Firstly congratulations on the win, must be a great evening for you lads <ok>

I've been an admirer of Gus since he's been at the helm and I have no doubt whatsoever you'll be safe this season.

So how is Borini getting on? I have seen bits and pieces of him playing for you guys and he looks impressive - But I haven't been watching week in week out, from what I've read he's become a fan's favourite? I have noticed he seems to show a lot of passion for Sunderland, therefore you may even end up keeping hold of him, who knows?

So what's everyone's overall opinion of the lad? He seems to me he has a bright future :)

First thoughts, he's trying to do too much.
Second thoughts he puts a hell of a shift in and doesn't give up.
Third thoughts he is getting more used to team work.
Fourth thoughts he knows where the goal is, but also where his team mates are.
Fifth thoughts **** that was a great penalty and he was laughing and joking with the ref before he took it. Talk about cool under pressure.

Apart from that he is **** and Liverpool don't need him honest.

He is getting better with every game he plays. At first I wasn't sure about him. Now however he has to be one of the first names on the team sheet. He puts in a fantastic amount of running and effort for the team and he has the ability to cause other teams all kinds of problems

Honestly? Cracking footballer who has grown and developed with regular games which is why I guess he is here? Will he stay with us? Who knows as there are a lot of factors involved like does he want to stay for one? I think he might. Do we have the money to buy him? Maybe if we stop up yes. Will Liverpool sell? Will Liverpool play him if he went back as I cant see him wanting reserve or be on the bench, so maybe they will try and cash in to buy others.

Lets get to May as a Premiership club and these things will work one way or another I guess. In the meantime, I love the lads enthusiasm, energy and committed play for us and he has become an integral part of how Gus likes to play the game.

He takes a ****ing cracking penalty as well by the way.

He's a cracking player. Won't break into your team though anytime soon.

It's good to hear the fans have warmed to him, and he's starting to impress consistently.

To be honest he's without question better than Aspas, so that would make him our 3rd choice striker. I just worry that him coming back could potentially scupper his development.

The issue with him being 3rd choice here is that when either Sturridge is injured or Suarez is banned!! we play with one up front and have the extra man in midfield. Therefore for him to get his chance at Liverpool right now would be difficult.

A good option (for both clubs) could well be to extend his loan period to perhaps next January (or even another full season) so he could keep on improving. I guess if we manage to grab a European spot then we'll need a bigger squad, so we'll either buy a few players or recall our loanee's as originally agreed.

Either way I'm happy he's doing well, and I'm happy he's improved your squad <ok>

He won't break into your team, no player could at the moment. He'll need to leave. Hope he'd come here like but fear he'd go back to italy.

I saw someone tweet him today saying "retweet this if you want to stay at Sunderland"... he retweeted it. Read into that what you will.

I feel he's becoming a bit of a cult hero already and would love to keep him permanently.

He's doing good. Puts in a shift, although he's probably still behind Sturridge and miles behind Suarez (who isn't?)

BTW, do you know what his goal celebration is supposed to be? Why does he bite his hand and stick his arm out?

It's to show his hunger for the game by biting his hand and a salute to celebrating his goal. Sure I read that yesterday?

As has been covered, the problem he has going back to Liverpool is he'll be third choice, no shame in that considering the quality of the 2 in front, but this is a full Italy international people forget, the lad will want to play games.

The lad looks like he gives a **** & has bought into the club and fans, and that is what has dragged him on, he grafts his balls of and makes good decisions, goals are starting to become regular too.

If he goes back to Liverpool I will only want you lads to do well for him (and Mig, and Jordan...), but I really hope that if (when) we stay up, the lad might decide to stick with us.

European football might help, it's not as if we have a tough final really, who the **** are Man City?
