I think the new fixtures for next season are out on Friday. I'm hoping that we get some good Saturday away games (as opposed to mid-week). Looking forward to a few days out - particularly Deepdale and Bury. Saturday means I can get the train and have a few drinks instead of fannying around travelling during mid-week <ok>

I never knew that - good article.

Any way Huddersfield or Bury Boxing day will do. Chesterfield 1st home sow Shezza how it's done in league 1 like Notts County last year. Finish off with Preston away would be good or at end of August means BH in Blackpool !!

What an interesting article. I always thought it was completely random - hence some of the crazy fixtures we seem to have sometimes (eg, Exeter one week, Yeovil the week after)

It happens with lots of clubs. Us and Dale are paired together, probably for crowd reasons as much as everything though. If United had say, Liverpool, City had Arsenal, Latics had Sheff United and Dale had Huddersfield GMP would go into meltdown!

Quite happy with those games start and finish at home. My personal downside is Walsall away ( very local ) is again on Tuesday night grrr but so is Preston away which I would have thought Sat for crowd

Agreed, I was also gutted with Preston away on a Tuesday, but we have been quite lucky with most of our fixtures. Hopefully really goood cup runs (fingers crossed) won't affect our popular Saturday games.

The board must be licking there lips 3 bumper home crowds 1st 3 games of the season to start off

    Sheff Utd
    Dale
    Huddersfield

We are top 6 after 3 league games of home attendances surley lol

I would take 5 from them 3 games minimum of 4 pts required for a solid start and a away win at Yeovil , gutted Rochdale game im in Berlin and Walsall im in Cyprus!!
Beggers cant be choosers, Hardy requested our bigger games be on a Sat and we have got our wish

Should be a good crowd for that. I reckon Sheff U will sell out their allocation and we should have around 5K fans.

Terrible first away game though, I'll give it a miss as I went to Yeovil last year and save up for Scunny.
