Yer sacked 35 managers in 20 seasons and taken his club from the Italian 3rd division to the 1st.Taken them as far as he could but we have much more potential.
We have had a series of managers filling the team with third rate freebies and loans, I have more faith in the new guy than you, he has kept his team in the top flight of Italian football for twenty years? against all odds.
Not really the same level of challenge though is it? I don't know about you but I don't want a string of managers and players that I can't relate to. It's boring and lacks feeling and will destroy half the atmosphere that makes our club so great. All for the sake of money, ****ing hell so exciting... Can take the money and stick it up his arse for all I care. Can set it on fire while he's at it n all.
Wrong, they gained promotion from serie B to serie A in season 2003-04. That will make it 10 years and their highest finishing was 9th. And in his time he has sacked and reinstated managers more often than you would change you underwear
Cheers for that but still not an easy task. I admit the constant sacking of managers is worrying but it shows the guy wants success, he is not happy with mid table, shouldn't we welcome an owner who doesn't sit back telling the fans hey we have managed promotion let's sit back and enjoy mid table nothingness. At the moment we are a million miles away from a return to the Premier League, it is a distant dream so if this guy and his money can get us back I will take some of that and worry about his manager sackings when and if they happen.
I don't trust the wop...I think the way that things have happened is disgusting and it's just another embarrassing chapter in the history of Leeds United.
So is Festa confirmed as your replacement? Or is it speculation? I think in this league you need continuity throughout the squad over a few seasons. I dont think anyone would have complained if Pearson got sacked last season for us after our abysmal run, but we stuck with him and the same squad and we're having our best ever season. I hope your new owner doesnt chop and change managers as much as has been suggested. Mandric did that with us and we found ourselves in league 1. If Festa is your guy you have to give him two seasons, you have to let him build his own squad. You almost have to let a manager fail in order to succeed. So long as they can learn from their mistakes. All the best
Cheers if you are genuine, the problem is that we've been going through this chop and change for 10 yrs now and I doubt this new crook will make much difference, Leeds United needs British/Irish managers not foreign..IMO
A convicted fraudster who had his team playing 1000km away from where they were based has come in and sacked McDermott and replaced him with someone who was just sacked by a mid-table Italian 3rd division team because "he needs a coach, not a manager". No way this can go wrong at all. Jesus ****ing christ some of you have got the club you deserve.
Festa two years? Oh please, now that is taking the piss ... Festa shouldn't be given the honour of managing this great club for one day ... we are going to experience a lot of heartache for a long time it seems, and Bates will look like a saint Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
8 points behind 6th place with a game in hand, 19 games to play. My arithmetic reveals there is plenty to play for still. Having millions to spend may not translate (no pun intended) into spending millions on Leeds United.
Well yes, I live and work in Leeds, born in the LGI and only briefly lived away, never lived outside of Yorkshire.
And I'd rather not have millions to spend if it means having a complete **** in charge who doesn't give managers a chance to make a difference. He's also guaranteed to suck all the character out of the club and replace it with Italian mercenaryism.
