Anyway, with our business all done it's time to look at this match. My team would be: Boruc Chambers Fonte Yoshida Shaw Wanyama Schneiderlin Lallana Davis Rodriguez Lambert Subs: Davis, Hooiveld, JWP, Clyne, Cork, Gallagher, Reed.
For some reason I dread games like this more then against the likes of Arsenal. If we don't come away with three points it will be disappointing, if we lose it will be the end of the world. Yes I need to man up.
We seem to play well against the top sides, which then gives us hope that we will thrash lower opponents....then we get a draw!
Last time out... a Berbatov goal and a Rickie Lambert equaliser from the penalty spot in a 1-1 draw. please log in to view this image
Good window for Fulham shipping out those luxuries. We definitely benefitted in the home game facing Ruiz & Bent who had zero work rate. I'm sure Fulham won't be as woeful as they were at St Marys, but I think we should still be able to pick up a result.
Is it wishful thinking to say that the Fulham squad will be in disarray? Maybe a bit strong, but all the last minute ins and outs is presumably not the best preparation for a football match. We on the other hand will not have lost focus from the game, the team are together and probably feel stronger unity then ever thanks to the Osvaldo incident and the way it has been dealt with. I will be really disappointed if we don't come away with all 3 points.
