@LiverpootFC: #LFC are delighted to announce the signing of Yehven Konoplyanka from Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk for an undisclosed fee. http://t.co/90Otrf7Evu
I can see them dragging this crap out until 11pm and then it'll be as big of an anticlimax, though no less predictable, as the end of The Blair Witch Project.
Graham Brown: Shame Everton didn't sell Fellaini for £27m, Jelavic for £6m, received TV money of £60m. Could buy players then. Wait...
Medical done. Personal terms agreed. Fee agreed. Stumbling block appears that Dnipro want fee in one go. LFC accountants hate that. -@anfieldonline
Ridiculous. With the signing of Konoplyanka (what BBC are now reporting) we can play a maximum of 3 of Suarez, Sturridge, Sterling, Coutinho, Konoplyanka, Moses, Aspas, Alberto, and next season Moses will be replaced by Assaidi and Borini, not to mention Suso. I assume this is the end of Ibe's chances of getting a game from the bench. And its not even the position we needed as everyone could CLEARLY see. Of course I'll support the lad wholeheartedly and I hope BR proves me wrong but its another poor window from Ayre. I'll be happily proved wrong though.
Anyone else thinking Ayre has been sitting with the signed contract for 5 hours saying, "no, no, wait until ten to eleven....It'll make them not care they didn't actually want this dude...." Puffing on cigar....getting blown by 5 Ukrainian bookers.... Edit, hookers
We're playing him in DM We've been waiting for a big name signing the whole window, now ayre has pulled eleven letters out of the bag.
Aspas will be gone, loan or sold. Assaidi will be another on loan or gone. Obviously we've got no interest in making Moses' deal permanent. I see Alberto being dropped further back into a more conventional CM in his future. So lets hope Ibe, Sterling and Suso will all be getting their chances come next season. And Borini plays as well as he has shown at Sunderland.
