So who is BMD's successor?

Tomorrow's game now takes on a whole new meaning. Let's hope they put in a shift and make it known that it was to remember Brian.

So we arnt expecting a big name manager and a new squad by 23:00?

Yeah me neither. The total lack of class shown is right up there with anything Bates did. Told you all Haigh was a ****. Meanwhile fat Gary has taken his mrs for a meal and turned the phone off.

Either his "mate" Haigh tipped him off to all of this, or he's coming back home to one hell of a shock! <laugh>

Including this forum, I would suggest all forums relating to Leeds United will be have to be aware they may face legal action if they continue, as Italians do not like anyone criticizing them or anything they own.

Latest LUST emails

Sent at 10:19 this morning:

Trust Statement in Support of Brian McDermott
For the last few weeks the LUST inbox has been inundated with requests for clarity, honesty and reason from the club and its ultimate owners, GFH, with many members becoming increasingly angry at the way they feel they are being ignored and in many cases misled.

In many of the discussions we are having with our members a clear and seemingly unequivocal point is being made time and again – our members are appalled at the way Brian McDermott has been let down and treated so badly by the club.

It is now a matter of conscience for those who claim to be running our club in the best interests of the supporters to decide how (or even whether) they repair the damage done to the trust, pride and confidence of our manager. We can only say to Brian that the feedback we are receiving shows that a large majority of LUST's membership trust in his judgement and believe that, if he is given the backing he has been promised, then Brian can bring success on the pitch.

We wonder how the clubs owners would feel if Brian McDermott had tramped into the board room with half a dozen players, pointing to the paintings, fixtures and fittings and suggested one of the coaching staff stay to ‘observe’ what was going on during a board meeting?

Brian, you have brought pride and dignity to your role as manager during what must have been a very difficult time. You have the support of many thousands of supporters, who appreciate your efforts and hope that you are given a chance to show what success you could bring to Leeds United if given similar support by your employers.

LUST chairman Gary Cooper has contacted David Haigh directly this morning, to again pass on the strong feelings of our members about the current situation.

Statement from Mike Farnan & Together Leeds
Leeds United Supporters Trust, as representatives of over 9,000 LUFC supporters, have been asked to publish the following statement by the group led by Mike Farnan to our members and the wider fans base:-
_________________________________________________________________________
Together Leeds, led by Mike Farnan, issued an offer for the share capital of Leeds United on the 14th November 2013. The value offered was significantly in excess of the amount publicly reported.
Our bid remains fully funded, and our strategy involves credible Yorkshire and football people, with Leeds and the community at their heart, rebuilding this great club. We think that our consortium is the best future custodian of the club and represents the best way forward.
In recent days, before and since the collapse of the Sport Capital bid, we have re-engaged with GFH, and offered significant investment into the club.
We are hopeful of those discussions being allowed to progress to a successful conclusion.
We thank everyone for the huge support shown to us, particularly this week.
Ends

Trust Statement: Rising Concerns at LUFC

The board of LUST recognises the concerns its members are raising in numbers regarding the current situation at the club.

The takeover is apparently stalled, there has been a lack of transfer activity and, if what has been reported in the local media is accurate, at least one of Brian McDermott's targets has been blocked by GFH.

What is happening appears to be at odds with what was expected to happen in terms of completing a takeover and supporting the manager - and what was in fact reported by the club as happening - and we fully understand why this has caused confusion and anger among our members.

We have spoken to people at the club, including David Haigh, made sure they are fully aware of your concerns, and asked for clarity about what exactly is going on, but we can only ask questions and pass on your comments. We cannot force the club to say anymore than it has.

We understand some of the reasons why the club is saying very little at this time, and respect the fact that certain agreements may be in place preventing a more open dialogue with our members and the club's supporters.

However this does little to prevent the anxiety and lack of confidence felt by supporters, players and the management team, and the club should be aware that our members and many other LUFC fans feel that what is happening is detrimental to the club, harmful to our prospects this season and undermining the very good work that has been done before.

With this in mind we would ask our ultimate owners, GFH, to clarify to our members and the club's supporters what the position at the club is now - not with platitudes, public relations or with the interests of your investors in mind, but in accordance with the promises you made when you took control of our club from Ken Bates.

The supporters of this club will be here a long time after you have gone. We have respected your right to use our club as an investment and opened our arms in friendship to you. Now is the time for you to respect our right to some honesty and clarity in exchange.

He's a gruff old bugger but I wouldn't call him a rent boy ............. not unless I could defend an expensive law suit.

You obviously can't even afford a suit from Asda so I'd ****ing shut it if I were you <laugh>

Why don't you just **** off, you are not funny and rather boring, it is perhaps even more sad that you decided to stay on a Leeds United forum because nobody gives a **** about Doncaster, including many Doncaster supporters.
