What is there to suggest we're likely to get Ince? Hasn't Bruce said we're signing no one else? I'd love it if we signed him but can't see it.
The only article linking us with Tom Ince is..... http://www.gazettelive.co.uk/sport/sport-opinion/january-transfer-deadline-day-danny-6655757? Boro are waiting on a meeting at Hull to break up so they can push the button and cancel their loan registration. They are currently in talks with Tom Ince which, given the number of ball he has in the air, could take some time.
Some local journo in Middlesbrough claims Danny Graham's loan move is being held up as we're in talks with Ince.... sounds like he's making stuff up to fill the time, as he doesn't actually know the real reason it hasn't gone through yet.
Also the talk of Bruce in regards to Ince, and his suggestion this morning that we would sign someone on loan if Graham leaves.
It's certainly a possibility, although I think he'll go to Stoke or Palace as their interest seems more concrete. I think as soon as Graham leaves (which, I hope he does) Brucey will be looking for a loan replacement.
Someone called Colin Young on Twitter (claims to be the Daily Mail's North-East football reporter) has tweeted he finds it odd that Graham's move hasn't been finalised yet, as M'boro, us and Sunderland have all agreed to the deal. Says it's strange as longer it goes on the less likely we are to sign Tom Ince. Still don't see it though.
Though this on the BBC website: Juliette Ferrington BBC Sport Thomas Ince latest "Just on Tom Ince, it's incredible. Two clubs were given permission to speak to him about a loan move, which was Swansea and Crystal Palace. Stoke wanted a permanent move, but the player wants a loan move and to keep his options open. "But Blackpool won't be bullied and I believe they're now in favour of a permanent transfer, bearing in mind Ince's contract is up at the end of the season. Half an hour ago, there was no progress whatsoever, It could be Tom Ince ends up back at Bloomfield Road tonight."
Exactly, why shouldn't Blackpool pursue a fee? Makes a mockery of the Ince's National Tour too. If someone wants him really badly, pay up. Are we really that desperate to be blessed by his presence for 6 months just for him to warm his toes in the Prem and then **** off elsewhere? I don't like his 'tude.
Thought the Danny Graham move would have been sorted hours ago, makes it less likely that we'll have time to get anyone else in. Doubt if it could have been done before now and it not leaked out.
