I think we will lose two of those three.
Cisse will not be injured at all, we ain't daft.

What price Ba in on a last minute loan???

Isn't Torres injured though? If so, they'll keep hold of Ba.

No Chance on Ba...that would just leave Chelsea with Eto'o and an injured Torres.

If Cisse goes I'm not fussed about a replacement. For 6 months we can get by with Remy, De Jong, Shola and Gouff. It's more the fact that one injury in midfield and suddenly the Gosling's and Sammy Ameobi's start to get game time which shouldn't be the case for a top 8 team.

    Fat Sham linked...

    http://www.caughtoffside.com/2014/01/31/west-ham-target-9m-newcastle-united-striker/?

West Ham are lining up a last ditch move to sign Newcastle United striker Papiss Cisse according to Sports Direct News.

Hammers boss Sam Allardyce has failed in his bid to land Olympaikos goal machine Kostas Mitroglou, who is to move to Fulham, and will now turn his attention to £9m rated Cisse, who has had a poor season at St James’ Park this term.

The 28 year old Senegal international has scored just one goal in 15 Premier League fixtures this season and the arrival of Dutchman Luuk de Jong may well limit Cisse’s involvement in Alan Pardew’s starting eleven, with loaned in QPR man Loic Remy already standing in the former Freiburg man’s way.

Cisse arrived in the Premier League with a bang back in January 2012, scoring 13 goals in his first 13 starts for the Magpies but has failed to retain that good run of form and may well now be surplus to requirements at Newcastle United.

Not really 6 months, no need to over-egg it - it's just 15 matches.

Wouldn't even need Jarvis, but I'd take Morrison and cash. Just to get another body in the midfield for the last few months.

I rate Jarvis plus it'd mean taking another body away from their midfield. A mixture of me genuinely rating Matt and spite. <ok>

I reckon he probably rates Morrison around the £15m mark.

I reckon a cheeky £8m bid to bring him back is in order, I think it'd be worth the risk.

<EDIT> Carroll I meant, not Allardyce!

    Christ, not Allardyce! <yikes>

Well according to Lee Ryder it wasn't all groundless and NUFC accepted a £7million bid for Cisse:

I find that surprising, could have been a fresh start for him and the fact we accepted a bid less than we bought him for would surely be taken to mean that we don't want him. Fair play to him, must like the city. <ok>

if you believe the reports, then that's the second or third offer that Cisse has turned down himself - some on what are reported as higher wages. Either he's holding out for a particular club, or he genuinely wants to fight for his place at NUFC. If the latter, then now is his chance to recapture his previous form what with Remy suspended. I'd be happy with that.

If Cisse had said yes who would have been this apparent replacement? According that ****er Lee Ryder it would have changed our plans in the final few hours. Absolute ****ing bollocks. We would have cashed in and brought in no one. Maybe another 11th hour derisory offer. I bet anything it would have been Demba Ba. Bad enough a loan bid plus it would never ****ing happen anyway.

So happy Cisse is still here! To me he is still our best striker but as has been said before he is a confidence striker! No-one said anything when Shearer, Henry, Rooney etc goes on a barren spell! Hope Cisse sees this next 3 games as his chance to stake his claim to be our No. 9

Yeah but Pardew and people have treated him like crap. He is a class finisher and just needs to be given a decent run and a strike partner. With Cabs gone we should play 4-4-1-1 with Remy in the pocket and stop lobbing it up to Cissé.

Looking at the number of chances we created against Norwich I wish Cisse had been playing. His poaching skills could have got us 3 points and I hope he turns the corner against the Mackems today.
