Pardew ****ting his Knicks already for the weekend? Will an appeal allow him to play the derby game but also run the risk of a further 1 match ban? Smacks of desperation to me as Partridge said both did enough to be sent off after the game.
Honestly, maybe the red card stands, but if you look at it, is that a 3 or 4 match ban worthy? Considered what other stuff has gone on. Not in my book. But I guess this is a move to have Remy available for the derby. De Jong then has another week to settle in for the next match. edit: I don't know about you lot but I want the best derby possible, meaning all best players on the pitch, yours as well as ours. The last I want to see are threadbare squads playing for a draw.
Certainly did.. Pardew said: "There is probably just enough for the referee to send them off, but Johnson's reaction to the heads meeting, in terms that he got a headbutt when he did not, was the catalyst for them both to get sent off. "It was his own fault, if he had not have done that then maybe the referee would have taken a more lenient view, but he made such a drama out of it, he should be ashamed of himself really. "It was his own fault, if he had not have done that then maybe the referee would have taken a more lenient view, but he made such a drama out of it, he should be ashamed of himself really." Alan Pardew "We won't appeal, because I think there was enough for Chris there, http://www1.skysports.com/football/...dew-slams-bradley-johnson-after-norwich-clash
Only if the rules are adhered to. Even Partridge admitted it was a red after the game but is obviously ****ting bricks now before the game. If this appeal is turned down I fully expect a 4 game ban to be administered.
Well, the thing is Norwich said right away they were appealing. And arguably Johnson was the bigger culprit, so we thought we might as well appeal too. Rules or not, that pair of handbags doesn't warrant a 4 match ban and I trust whoever decides these things will have some common sense and see this. You've had quite a few red cards overturned this season no? Did anyone serve their full ban or added bans? Only people ****ting bricks are those with threads of 120 replies of a red card brandished to a player of another team.
Reet, i've read this half a dozen times now, maybe it's just me losing the plot, but can someone please translate it, so i can begin to understand what the **** he is on about.
Cest.. There is nothing on the BBC football website to say they are appealing, where have you got this from, Pardew's aftermatch comments are not going to help if they carry this appeal through.
Pardew, like Bruce, can't handle the pressure and tense nature of local derbies. He just explodes with emotion and conveys that pressure to his team as Bruce did. He knows that to lose a third consecutive derby will spell terrace trouble and especially after cabayes exit. I smell fear when it wafts by and Pardew reeks of it.
Newcastle United can confirm that the Club has lodged an appeal with the Football Association for the wrongful dismissal of Loic Remy during Tuesday's Barclays Premier League fixture with Norwich City at Carrow Road. Remy was given a straight red card by referee Chris Foy in the 81st minute of the game following an incident involving Norwich City's Bradley Johnson. http://www.nufc.co.uk/articles/20140130/united-lodge-remy-appeal_2281670_3645116 Their official **** site.
I am sure they fast track appeals before the next game now, to prevent any abuse of the system. So Remy's appeal should be heard either today or tomorrow.
http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/247676-Red-card-for-Remy This. You ever seen a massive thread like that on our board about one of your or any other player? Don't think so. You're afraid of Remy and hence wish him to be banned. Who spat at Redmond? Whoever did, it wasn't seen by the ref and can't be addressed retrospectively. Remy will be there on Saturday.
This. There's a section on the bbc sportsday breaking news that insinuates he wil miss the derby unless the appeal is successful Link to the independent saying the same thing.............. http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...nderland-if-newcastle-win-appeal-9095723.html
Afraid? No. Would rather he didn't play because he's one of your 2 or 3 good players? Yes. Unfortunately we don't have the luxury of gentleman's rules, pistols at dawn, because we really need the three points right now. If we were both in safe mid table obscurity then maybe objectively it would be a better game if we both had our strongest teams out but that's not the case at the moment. We're not bricking it over the derby, certainly no more then you are anyway.
F@ck him anyway. He's not that good! Lets beat them with their strongest team, itll feel that bit nicer.
