The way he is playing he is doing what Mingolet did for us last season.

The question is why do we develop such good goalkeepers , is it all of the practice we give them on the pitch.

He won us the 3 points tonight, no doubt about it.

The saves from shawcross and the reaction save from crouch in the 1st half were brilliant

Ming was over rated and we now have the better keeper of the two.
Only time he looked like losing the ball tonight was O'**** trying to make him fumble. :p

i dont think he was overrated at all ,liverpool certainly didnt think so ,he a one of the best in the prem but i do think mano has surpassed all expectations and has been fantastic thank goodness, his distribution and cross handling is very good.

I have Liverpool TV so have watched all their games.
He still flaps at crosses and makes unnecessary saves pushing the ball in front of him for the attackers to get onto rather than getting the ball in his hands or away from goal. (His defenders have saved him continually.)
He continues to make easy saves look harder than they should be.
    His kicking is still woeful.
Mannone doesn't make saves for the cameras he just gets the job done and his distribution is ten times better.

I would put money on Mannone being a top flight keeper longer than Ming.

I think Mig is a quality keeper and was disappointed when he was allowed to leave.

When Vito came I was underwhelmed to say the least.

The best compliment I can pay him now is that I dont even think about Mig anymore and actually think we have improved that department as Vito commands his area far better and kicks 100 times better. I think we got by far the better deal.

this. loved mig, guilty for one or two hollywood saves a match but otherwise a quality keeper. haven't spared him a second thought in months though, which shows what a good job mannone is doing.

He will be going if he keeps this up. Overall I have to say he is overall better than Mig. Certainly better than Westwood and our upturn in points is no coincidence since mannone has taken over. He is doing what mig did last season but with better control of his box and his distribution is a million times better than migs.

What odds Gus running to him after 90 minutes at Wembley.......

You're comparing him with one of my childhood heroes!

He may be good, he may even move on to greatness (we'll probably sell him at that point!) but he's not Monty yet!

And I bet his missus doesn't compare either!

Mannone doesn"t command his box at all, neither did Mig. It is the only area Mannone can improve but given time and a settled defence he will. (Mind Monty was no Pat Jennings on crosses lads !)

I would happily say mannone has the best distribution in the premier league out of all keepers.
