Longs right leg got trapped between the defenders legs when he ran across him to shield the ball causing him to go down, he certainly didn't 'fall over himself'. Having seen a replay you should have spotted that.
Long Quinn Boyd Beginning to get slightly worried, however knowing City I expect us to beat Spurs on Saturday.
100% agreed. Bruce has had some quality games this year, but when he's not 'on it', he's not a PL player. He reminds of Phil Neville for Man Utd, every so often had a quality game (think Vieira in his pocket) but then played below average for weeks. He's a decent enough lower squad player. Is Hobbs better than McShane/Bruce? I feel he is.
I agree they were both poor but i think Davies hasnt been as dominant as he should be. Plus it was Rosey who actually ****ed up for their goal.
Hmm, some people on here had Davies in their top 3 MOM. I thought he was below par by his own incredibly high standards. In general though, I think he's our best player and is our only real England candidate... reminds me very much of a younger Rio Ferdinand.
Davies - needs a solid partner along side him though. Hobbs? Long - looked sharp. Boyd - always look better when he comes on, should play more.
Exactly my thinking (see post #24). I think he's our 3rd best central defender, not sure why we're getting rid actually - although the £1mill being touted is good considering his contract.
I can't abide this sort of negative drivel. You don't select players to do nothing. A player who tries to influence the game but doesn't manage to, whether from good opposition defending or slightly mis-timed passing has at least made an effort.
Had a good stream - & yes, we didn't get the breaks despite creating some good chances for Livermore, Rosy & Long. Livermore Boyd Quinn Rosy looked well out of place on the left. MacG lost his cool, but regardless, we have Harper's experience to call on. Wish Livermore at taken the shot, as it was, the pass was behind Rosy for what looked like a certain goal!
