Changing the subject slightly. I hate Cristian Riveros! He is everything that is wrong with this League. A player who was signed on the back of a decent world cup. His "talents" could of easily been found in the lower leagues, which would have given and young English man the chance in the top flight.

It's through these signing's the English team has suffered with youth development.It would make no difference to English football if he was here or not. He is everything that is wrong with football

Seriously though how many decent home grown players have Sunderland produced that have made the grade in recent years? There's Henderson and then who else????

Look at Newcastle we've got Harper, S. Taylor, Ferguson, Lua Lua, the amazing Ameobi brothers and other players who have joined the club as youngsters that have worked their way up through the ranks like Krul and Ranger with Kadar and Vuckic set to break through next.

Mike Ashley may be loved by you idiots on W***side but that's because you don't actually realise what he's doing.

You think it's funny that he's sold Nolan, but your only thinking about the here and now. Long term it will prove to be the correct decision moving his big wages off the bill rather than tying him down to a long term contract into his mid 30's and making him difficult to move on when he's past it.

Ashley is making the club self sufficient and getting the wage bill into a manageable state, so that the club looks like an attractive purchase and if the right offer comes in he can sell.

Compare that to the mess at Sunderland where the academy setup clearly doesn't work (Henderson granted, but when you throw enough **** at the wall some of it will stick) Bent sold in January to balance the books and these Gyan rumours (although denied) have clearly came from somewhere.

Your wage bill is spiralling out of control and your better players last season were all brought in on loan, but now they have been taken away the squad is exposed for the average dross that it is.

Now your trying to sign cast offs who from the top four like Wes Brown and John O'Shea. I find this rather ironic and funny because they say if you don't learn from peoples mistakes then history will repeat itself and while you've had a good laugh at us over the years and we've had a good laugh at you's the difference is Sunderland clearly haven't learned from Freddie Shepherds mistakes.

Shepherd used to go after the cast offs from the likes of Chelsea, Man United and they had to be paid stupid wages to convince them to come up here and as a result we walked the tightrope financially and ended up being sold to Ashley. That's where Sunderland is headed no doubt about it
