When I saw his name in the starting line -up I was scared, he did very well yesterday. Well done Cissokho !
This is sarcasm ...right? Just an awful performance . Useless in the tackle, hardly won a 50/50 or 70/30 for that matter. His passing ability is at its best lower league quality. Offers nothing going forward. Did you notice how many times he was open on the left ,esp first half, and the ball was moved out to the right. It's almost as if the others were saying " what's the point in passing to him" The sooner Enrique is back the better or just move flano there and play Kelly .
Don't agree that he was awful. Seems very nervous on the ball, better off of it. Still his best performance in a Liverpool shirt. Enrique is obviously first choice if he ever comes back. Think he needs some confidence and a bit of composure. That's all.
The other players defo don't trust him Thing is, if we've noticed it, how many opposition managers have?
The other players are carrying him. I wouldn't quite say it is like being a man down, but carrying a lower league footballer is about right. He doesn't really offer anything. And I agree with kph that the other players don't seem to want to use that outlet at all when he is on the pitch. This limits our attacking potential. The teams around us have Baines, Danny Rose, Cashley, Kolarov, Evra and Gibbs. Some ageing but all a damn site better than Cissokho! Did you see yesterday when he was running on to the ball with only his opposite number to beat. Instead of kicking it past him and sprinting, he casually side footed it in to touch. Under no real pressure at all! Terrified of having the ball at his feet...
I remember reading an article on here about how Tony Pulis had singled Skrtel out to his players. He was happy for Skrtel to have the ball at his feet so his team didn't have to close him down. Imagine what they are saying about Cissokho! I bet they are pissing themselves in the opposition changing room...
no he's not its just everton's attacks all came from miralass last night and he was attacking the RB slot more than anywhere else. cisshko's passing is god awful and he bumbles along however frankly you can carry a LB. full back is not CM. you just need to block the crosses and run up and down. especially v the lower half teams as thats where we'll win fourth. falanagan will be out there shortly... # flanno back LFC win 4-0 coincidence?
It was better than most of his games... there were no real stand out bloopers- just some bad passes. I think his last couple of games have improved- but he still is the weakest man in the team by far.
The main thing that can be said for the lad is that he's warm and breathing! As with some others it seems to me that he's terrified with the ball at his feet and terrified of making a mistake. Now I'm not going to go as far as suggesting that a swan could appear from the ugly duckling but his terror probably makes his performances appear 10 times worse.
He is a lot like Djimi. Djimi was never a great player for us- but he started off as absolute nightmare that would make me panic when I saw him on the teamsheet. By the time Rafa had worked with him for a while- he went from nightmare to merely dire. Cissoko should have the same asperations- to one day rise from the ranks of the truly godawful to one day being merely dire.
I love your joke threads Dribbles The guy's a ****ing liability full stop. He got lucky last night that he had a young centre back (playing RB) attacking him but the guy seriously looks more nervous than RHC when he hasn't got a pub to frequent.
At the present moment we can't. That job, belongs to BR and the coaches as well as the other players. We may comment negatively here but I've not heard any anti-Cissokho chanting or groans when he has possession.
It's a real shame seeing Cissokho play the way he has. At Porto and Lyon, he was a beast. Completely short on confidence and good job we only have him on loan.
First year playing in the premiership is usually a nightmare for some players.Lucas had a terrible first year. Look at him now. However, I am not saying Cissokho is a world class player.
