Pardew recently said that Barton and Nolan are crucial to the club's future. With Nolan heading out of the door and Barton likely to follow the question needs to be asked..... Is Pardew's position becoming untenable given decisions may be getting made behind his back?

Sounds like KK came out and said Milner wasn't going anywhere and look what happened 24 hours later... <whistle>

With Ashley at the helm he could be sacked as and when, only to be replaced by someone like Terry Venables or steve cotterill.
but it will be fine as ashley knows wot he is doing and any one against him is a tool

Absolutly not. I dont believe that Pardew is pulling the transfer strings and never has, and once more i think hes known this from Day 1. So no hes not going to walk because he knows that this is how it was going to work. He'll face the press and back the sale of Nolan - just watch.

Nope .. unsubstantiated twaddle .. I believe Pards is playing his position rather well at present, even if (and I mean if) he wanted to ditch Nolan to improve the squad he could never come out and say so as that weakens any commercial position. He has to work with the board no question, so long as he gets who he believes will improve the squad then I'm not sure how he goes about that without looking like Ashleys puppet .. at least he's not throwing any toys about like some managers have .. reminds me a lot of Hughtons attitude ..

You want a big wooden spoon CIABE to stir some more? <ok>

The problem is that Pardew has absolutely no power at all Ashley has paid him to be a mouthpiece thats all and deliver the news with his usual bullshit. Nobody at our club can be trusted Ashley just does what he likes and sod the consequences. The local press he has bought off he has royally screwed the fans time and again for gods sake he even tried to double the fee for local radio station who at least told him to **** off. Don't know how we ended up with this despicable fat *unt in charge of our club. Very sad days but the only glimmer as KK said weeks ago once he has screwed as much as possible out of the club he will be gone just pray for that day to comr only thing that keeps me going in relation to NUFC
