Boruc 7.5 - Some excellent saves as usual

Chambers 8.5 - What a game he had. A regular staking a real claim, excellent touches, control and crossing.

Fonte 7.5 - Very good goal after a difficult week. Still think e should've punched the corner flag to celebrate ;)

    Yoshida 5.5 - :( Ok.

Shaw 8 - Very good game, excellent going forward, had Sagna in his back pocket, but the two Arsenal goals came from his side.

Cork 8 - Excellent game, controlled the midfield.

Davis 7.5 - He really is an underrated player. He's so experienced and so calm!

Schneiderlin 7 - Good game, amazed he didn't get booked after a few niggling tackles, nothing malicious though!!!

Lallana 9 - Running out of words to describe him. Just tired towards the end. MOTM.

Rodriguez 7.5 - constant running, endless effort and some brilliant touches.

Gallagher 8.5 - Excellent debut for the 18 year old. He just didn't stop and wasn't afraid to put himself against the bigger players!

I think 5.5 is harsh on Yoshida. Looked a little rusty at times but there were a few occasions where the team didn't do him any favours with their passes. 6.5 for me.

    Boruc - 7
    Chambers - 7
    Fonte - 7.5
    Yoshida - 6.5
    Shaw - 7.5
    Cork - 9 MOTM
    Davis - 7
    Schneiderlin - 7.5
    Lallana - 8.5
    Rodriguez - 8
    Gallagher - 8

Cork was awesome tonight. Even before we bought Wanyama and we could've expected Cork in for the full season I never thought I would have given him so many MOTMs this season. I think it must be every game he's started apart from a couple. He's on MAD form

7s and 8s all round for me apart from for Maya and Gallagher, which isn't to say I think they played poorly in general, Yoshida was very solid for the most part and Gallagher did well on his full debut, but I think they made the two critical errors that cost us the win.

    Yoshida 5.5 !??!

Don't be tart. Lost count of the number of times he made interceptions.

All players get at least 8, with Chambers, Lallana & Cork getting 9's.

Agreed. But let's give Shaw a 9 too.

Why do players get down graded so much because they had a misplaced header or a misplaced pass. The team were excellent tonight. Very proud and apart from 10 minutes after half time, I think Wenger will be breathing a sigh of relief at getting a point.

Yoshida had a solid game. Rate players on their actual performance, not on whether you like them or not.

Think Yoshida played a blinder considering how much he hasn't played. Really can't be easy to come up against such an attacking force after so long out and hardly put a foot wrong!

Giroud got nothing from Yoshida in the 1st half. He was 1st to everything. Yes, you get the old bad pass from him and that header to Ozil had me in a panic, but his overall performance was very good and he played to his maximum.

Also I know people love Cork and like to big him up at every opportunity because he lost his place to Wanyama and he put in another very good performance, but Morgan Schneiderlin was just sensational. He bossed that game in the 1st half and put in one of the most complete midfield displays you're likely to see. The whole team got caught cold at the start of the 2nd and so he doesn't get a 10, but still Fantastique!

All round good team effort maybe should have had it won in the first half but good arsenal side. Ref was pretty poor as usual o

On current form, I reckon Cork/Wanyama seems like the best defensive midfield partnership for next weekend, with Schneiderlin on the bench. At times playing with Schneid and Wany, we seemed too defense-orientated and not creative enough. I reckon Wany with Cork would be a good balance - Wanyama's defensive presence (which Cork lacks) along with Cork's playmaking (which Wanyama lacks).

Personally thought Yoshida was very good in general, the odd stray pass or header doesn't concern me too much. What I would rate him down on is the fact he didn't shift across to cover Ozil for their second goal, Shaw was stranded and Cork was never getting there til it was too late (and allowing a player like Ozil to get to the box on his left foot with time to pick a pass is too late in my book) and Maya had plenty of time to get across and either force Ozil to go down the line on his weaker foot or cut back and pass backwards. Overall I don't think there was much of a difference between how Yoshida played and how Lovren would have fared, but you can be damn sure Dejan would have been flying out to stop Ozil in his tracks. You could also certainly lay blame at Cork or Schneiderlin's door for not reading the game better and dropping into Luke's place, but once they hadn't Maya had to cover it.

I'm not a massive fan of Yoshida, but 5.5 is ludicrous. He absolutely monstered Giroud who is probably the best target man in the league. He was class tonight.

Looked like Gallagher slipped jus before his big chance to me. He was really unlucky, I thought in general he was really good.

The first 45 minutes was probably the best team performance I've seen from saints since pre-relegation times. Arsenal didn't know how to cope with us - they looked like a deer in headlights for most of the gae. Credit to MP .

Interesting how we read things differently: I thought they were both brilliant, but Cork edged the first half and Morgan the second.

He has Scottish family and he obviously thinks it's more realistic to get games for Scotland than England. He is still able to change his mind though (like Targett did).

Not sure gallagher should be getting above 7, he played well considering he is an 18 year old making his full debut, but in the context of the rest of the team, he was one of our less effective performers
