Remy was equally stupid. These players know if they put their head in they are in danger of seeing red. A yellow each would of done imo, but both stupid.
I'm not really sure he has I think he just works hard and people line a tryer, he was equally poor against Everton, his lack of passing ability slows our attacks massively. But he does get stuck it, Tettey and Fer is a very powerful pair but can both do something with the ball. Remember Tettey was one of our best players before his injury.
I agree both were equally stupid in putting their heads together and should and would have got a yellow if Johnson didn't play act, a huge disrespect to fellow players.
No, he definitely put in some solid performances. His passing will never be great, but it had improved slightly recently. That's what I mean about Tettey - hopefully he can recover that early season form because last year he didn't manage to. Then we won't need to worry about Johnson
I don't know how you can moan when Ben Arfa play acted worse than that four times, should have been yellow carded for each. Diving is a much bigger travesty that blights the game. Remy knows that if you put your head into another player, you get sent off. Johnson embarrassed himself by making the most of it, and being harshly red-carded as a result, which I suspect we'll challenge. Johnson will no doubt be feeling very foolish. But whether Johnson had play-acted or not, Remy got exactly what he deserved. A red for head-butting. Dose dem rules.
The couple of times HBA went down, clear contact but down too easy for me...annoyed the hell out of me. I don't think it was a foul/ dive when he went down in the box though, made no attempt to claim for a pen or complain. Remy & Johnson both put their heads to each other, only one of them tried to get the other sent off.
I've said he was stupid. I was referring to Johnsons stupidity in trying to get Remy sent off, it back fired on him.
Fair play. I think everyone agrees, both were stupid and the sooner diving is out of the game the better
Yep, the prat. Remy deserved the red though. Million dollar question - would the referee have seen it if Johnson hadn't overreacted? We'll never know
Glad he's suspended genuinely don't find anything more frustrating than him constantly giving the ball away. He had the lowest pass success rate of any midfielder in the prem last year and I don't think he's been much better this season. I'd rather play the diamond and go for it and have no protection hand on heart
If Remy deserved a red, Johnson did as well..they both put their heads together, not just Remy. It was a yellow for both easily imo, if Johnson didn't play-act. You see players go head to head very often and not resulting in a red card.
They both we're stupid your right maybe yellow card each would of done because we both still had same amount of players on the pitch so no one benefited
No, Remy went for the headbutt, that's why he got the red. Which is correct. The referee's assistant requested a red for Johnson's shove on one of the Newcastle players who went mental, not for the headbutt, apparently. This is why Norwich will be appealing and Newcastle won't. Because by the letter of the law, only Remy should have been carded. Unfortunately for us, Johnson was a prat and got himself sent off by drawing attention to it. The point is that Remy swung his head - not Johnson. Remy shoved initially too and caused the entire incident. As it is, Johnson ends up embarrassed because of the play-acting which bought him a red card
The referee and linesmen didn't see a lot of things because of their green and yellow scarves blowing in their eyes.
If you are truly saying that then it's clear you didn't see the game mate ! Foys arm only pointed one way all night and it was in a Newcastle direction !
And they still couldn't score! This morning I still cannot believe we got a point after a truly woeful performance. Newcastle will be scratching their heads thinking how on earth they did not get the three points, but for all their dominance they simply could not put the ball in the net. That does not bode well for them. The sending offs were a bit farcical. Both should have got yellows.
The sending offs occurred right in front of me and were the highlight of the game. I had to check my ticket to make sure I wasn't at Theatre Royal watching a Panto. What a pathetic shambles most of our players are turning into. The initial incident was no more than a minor coming together of 2 players,BJ trying to get a ball that Remy was shielding. The fiasco that followed summed up what is wrong with most modern footballers. To say they behaved like school kids in the playground is an insult to school kids. Remy got annoyed at JB JB did his "macho" act and pushes Remy Remy put his face(not his head) close to JB JB recoils in horror. Cue the other 20 players pushing and shoving. Cue Foy and Lino who didn't have a clue. The only bright spot of a pathetic City display. A real farce in more ways than one.
