Balotelli is world class though (and seems to have settled down a bit), and Barton was a freebie, if we were giving Osvaldo away then I'm sure there'd be lots of takers. Not going to be many who want to gamble €15m on him (which you could argue is how we got him in the first place).

Depends if we want rid straight away(on a perm) then I can see 4-5m loss. If we send him on loan and he behaves himself then we can recoup most of the fee. We will make a loss either way tho.

And if we send him on loan and he doesn't behave himself?

Yes we will. If three or four clubs make offers then I'll happily eat my words.

Its not just whether he'll smack a player but whether he's going to get his head right and get the bit between his teeth. Behind the guy who gets banned for a touchline ruck and hits a team mate in training is a myriad of issues and unhappiness. Desperate teams like spam might take a punt but I doubt he'll get a dream move where everything falls into place.

If he doesn't behave then we will have to basically give him away for 3-5m at most. Teams will still buy nutters that can score goals.

Can I watch you eat your words?

I know of one club that has asked to take Osvaldo on loan. We rejected it because we want a loan fee at least.

That's perfectly credible. One club's interest in a loan is not the same as Juventus, Inter, Monaco and West Ham all being interested in buying him though, which is what I expressed doubt about.

West Ham is just made up crap. Inter definitely isn't and can see why he is being linked to the other two.

My prediction, for what it's worth.

    He'll stay, he'll play.

He'll stay because MP will want to make the most of him. None of this will make MP think he's a bad footballer. Dani will apologise and work hard to fit in.

He'll play because he will adapt to the pace and style of the PL and will become worth playing, which is what we bought him for.

As for my talents in fortune telling, I predicted the end of the world on Dec 23rd 2012. If only my followers had had more faith.
