... and he'll do what he did with Cisse. Cisse got really pissed off. He found himself offside when making runs - sometimes because he wasn't looking, many times because the ball wasn't played through when it could have been. In the end Adel stopped passing to him, preferring to fanny around and take shots from 25 - 35 yards (or get dispossessed). A number of times I saw Cisse just give up because he knew he was never going to get the ball. Could easily happen with Austin.
On the money for me apart from the fact Harold currently still doesn't know his best team. Sorry as most know I have little faith in him tactically. He is a nice bloke to many but I see a dark angel there
Maybe Abdul himself doesn´t want to come back here, I fear he has burned his bridges. No doubt he has(d) a talent but we have really good team spirit at the moment, do we chuck that all away so Abdul can be the one and only star of the show again. I´m torn but I going for the ´NO´ camp purely because he is too inconsistent and lazy and I remember those moments more than the Fulham one.
If we did get Taarabt back my concern would be what we'd do with him if we get promoted. There's no doubt he has the potential to be amazing at this level and, even without reaching the heights of our promotion season, he could win us quite a few games. However, upon promotion, we'd feel obliged to continue playing him and he isn't consistent enough at that level to justify it. In the premiership for us he became a luxury player, offering the occasional bit of magic, but more often than not influence games with his failure to get back and defend, and his general laziness. Although it is impossible to forget the role he played in our promotion season and some of the goals he scored in the process, I personally can't wait for him to move on so this debate can end. Of course there's also the possiblity that if he were to underperform in a team built around him, as any team he's in seems to have to be, it would of all been for nothing. On another note, I've noticed over the last few days - mainly in relation to Cesar - some people have been talking about the 'marketing potential' of bringing certain players back in could have. Since when did football fans care about merchandise! Thinking like that left us stuck with Park.
Why are you calling him Abdul? If you don't like him then that's fair enough. But there is no need to change his name to emphasise a racial connotation.
This (obviously!!). As I understand it, Fulham want his wages off their books by the end of the week, so I presume that he WILL be back unless he's sold. Now, clearly he has been his own worst enemy and would need to knuckle down, but his ability at this level is proven to be superb and I would at least get him back into the squad so that he could be brought on with 20 minutes to go to try to unlock tired defences. If his attitude is good along with his form there's no reason why he then couldn't start games as there's no one close to him ability wise in the squad at present. I realise that Harry apparently doesn't like him, but even he would surely see that Taarabt's creativity could just be the missing ingredient that gets us up?
Respect your opinions DT. But he doesn't care about his colleagues, he doesn't care about the club and he doesn't seem to care about his own career. If he cared about the club, he would feel a responsibility to get it back to the premiership and get his head down and turn around his career. No doubt he aid an amazing talent. He also has the perfect opportunity to make the most of it. He doesn't and he is a huge distraction to everything around him. I'm afraid it's time to let him go (as much as it pains me to say it, as I enjoy his skills and ability when he turns it on).
Would be great! The easiest management speech ever which is HRs job. Just disappointed from the title as thought he had returned!
I thought that Fulham had contracted him for a season-long loan, or have I got that wrong? Short term loans can be recalled as I understand it, but not loans of this length, I have Lways been led to believe. They can't just send him back because they don't want to fork out for his wages, just as we can't call him back just because it might suit us.
Nines, it's what that clown Claridge kept calling him on the Championship show. Abdul Turret! Also If Wally Downs got his hands on him, he'd be a smack head in months!
Ninesy, its innocent mate. That's what - I think it was COLIN??? - kept calling him cos he couldn't pronounce his name. Like Dowie who kept calling Parejo, "Parecko". EDIT: RRRS explained it above. It was Claridge, not COLIN.
Keep him Awaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy from loftus rd.
