Be very very careful, I went to Valencia but don't have the bottle for this, they will stab anyone with no exceptions (THEN RUN) and if they don't their police will beat the crap out of you. https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=sc...&ie=UTF-8&ei=Oy_nUritFOe#sthash.QD3vx1Pv.dpuf https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q-JFshvSryw Stay safe xxx P.S - We need the JACK ARMY on top form tonight, bring it on!
I fancied this tie until I mentioned it in the pub (The Villiers, Hafod) and the guys there all went, "whoooaaa there, boy! You don't want any of that, you'd be safer in Russia". This was followed by stories from past trips with the Swans and other teams to Italy and it really made me nervous. I'm not normally one for being easily swayed by past reputations, but when I got home and did a little scouting online, I decided not to go. For the people travelling, stay safe and COYS!
Same here mate I'd go anywhere in western Europe with the exception of Naples and maybe ROME. (Both clubs) I'd even go to Naples if their police were like ours ...
There's something on the club website about it. Swansea fans are urged to go on the buses that are laid on both to and from the stadium. Move around in groups and don't wear club colours on public transport etc etc...sounds pretty bad. http://www.swanseacity.net/news/article/tickets-napoli-a-1314308.aspx
Bring Napoli's aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaardest (Sorry went all Kaaaaaaaaaaaaaardiff for a moment) down the hallowed turfs of Cwmbwrla Park without no tools and even numbers and we'll see what happens. 'Uncle' John spoke of the little Italians the few times I met him (In the nicest possible way) ... bunch of pussies mun.
Yes, they'll provide coaches - then probably do what they done to Arsenal fans a couple of months ago: they were driven AWAY from the ground, and virtually around in circles, until police were satisfied that all the local trash were in the ground. By the time the Arsenal lot got into the ground it was nearly half time.
That Scampia place don't look no worse than Dyfatty flats or Townhill on a grey and rainy day. If I was going to go to Naples I'd pop in some place round there for a pre-match beer.
Maybe aesthetically but the people are slightly different judging by murder rate(s) on the above video, I know it's caused by a minority and they are all big Napoli fans...
To be honest - I wouldn't go anywhere near Scampia - not unless I happened to be fluent in Italian and carrying an uzi inside my coat!
Yes my understanding is if you are stabbed below the waist it is treated as a minor assault charge only ( if the perpetrator is actually caught ) . Be vary carefull peeps.
I have a friend from Napoli Now living in Swansea (NapoliJack), what he has told me is enough to give this one a wide birth, there is much to be said for strength in numbers, you need to stick with a large group if your in any pub, but I would recommend using the coaches laid on, and no pub visits unless in the tourist area!................
I find it incredible how this stuff seems tolerated in Italy rather than dealt with by the authorities. I don't include UEFA in "authorities" btw as that's stretching credibility way too far.
Was in Naples for a day last Oct - interesting city but with 'uncomfortable undertones'. Didnt feel comfortable there
The Northern Italians from Genoa etc, have no look on their southern brothers!.........................
