Just shows how much notice you take of football outside your own team, you should open your horizons then you could comment on possible transfers etc
There are so many important things in life to occupy one's time with, you can't afford to waste it on irrelevant trivia.
If you look at Arsenal in the last 8 years or so they generally look quite unmotivated in cup games, derby aside, so I wouldn't be surprised to see a flat performance. I'd rather beat you in the league game personally if I was given the choice...
I think the february period has got very interesting for arsenal. the advantage you have is all games at home from Utd, LFC and bayern. It'll be one of those season defining february's again for arsenal.
Agreed. Arsenal have a tough run. Liverpool tend to get more motivated for these cup matches and should go through.
rather take my chances and go all out to get top 4 personally. we will be playing a team away from home who have not won a cup for 8 yrs, you can bet your ass they will be motivated for it, i don't think personally we have the squad to cope pissing about with a cup run as well, esp as they will have to be 100% committed, and arsenal are a bit like city at home. thin squad and no signings imminent, big gamble for me personally.
in a way yes, see arsenal played their youngsters in it for years, and while they didn't win it, they gained a lot of valuable playing time and experience. hope we do something similar, as we need to start bedding players in for next year, may not be a poplar opinion on here as we all love a cup final, but since kenny got sacked for getting us to 2 finals and wasn't deemed good enough by our owners who want cl football, i stopped caring about the cups personally.
It will not happen. A bad defeat with a reserve team could result A win or a draw away to a top side has massive psychological benefits. And whatever people say a defeat has negative impacts. Even with a second string side. Rodgers will put a strong side.
know he will put a strong side out, he proved that at bournemouth, just i think personally we will have to be 100% committed to get anything out the game, but i am worried by getting injuries and how thin our squad is, which is why i think top 4 should take precedence.
Considering Arsenals fixture list,Wenger will have to juggle the squad a little for this game. Having said that their squad is stronger than ours. One thing Arsenal won't want is a replay
lads what the f are you talking about. rodgers played SAS against chuffing bournemouth.. yet it takes smithy here form the city camp to tell you he'll do the same v arsenal??? we've a chance... lets get the small club mentality back where it belongs.. woodison
