Morning Everyone Just when you thought it was safe to go outside. Cellino pops up again.... The Italian press are convinced the Sardinian entrepreneur is attempting to purchase a controlling stake in Leeds and is said to be on the brink of closing a deal. Following a 2-1 defeat by Milan at the weekend, he said "Have I bought Leeds? I haven't completed anything at all and I'm not going to discuss it," he told La Nuova Sardegna. If he has no intentions of investing in the club, why doesn't he just come out and say it. The McCormack saga continuous. West Ham are in the process of upping their bid believed to be 4m up front and a 1m bonus based on appearances. I'd feel better with the whole of the money up front, unless West Ham want to employed the services of Warnock!!! Ross is a 5m player all day long, and if he helps them avoid relegation he is the bargain of the century. Its obvious by giving him the Captains armband, and the fact he has started near on every game that Leeds do not want to sell him. That being the case West Ham need to pay OVER the top for him if they want to prize him away from Elland Road. Leeds60, many thanks for your information yesterday! There are several properties on the market that could be Ross's but thave been unable to find one which has been bought since 2010 on the land registry. Could you point it out!!! The Le Fondre rumours may very well resurface. Leeds remain 8/13 favourites to land the Reading hitman. What offer would we need to make the McCormack deal worthwhile? At what price would we have to sign Le Fondre at to make that deal work? What other players should McDermott snap up?
Morning all I think we're going to have a very depressing week. We have to sign some people this week or our season is truly over and we can sit looking pretty in mid table. As for Cellino it's been said that he was walking around ER telling the staff he's bought the club. Until we actually know what's going on we'll just have to hear crap rumour after crap rumour
Depressing week? Do you mean having to sell our talisman to stay afloat, losing streak sucking us into a relegation battle, and a manager that could walk???
Good morning Elland I have sent you an email I think that money talks so Ross will go who do we buy well true to form it will be freebies as we wont have time to invest again same old song! Ings for me and young Wignall from Scunthorpe
It's been a pretty depressing time for Leeds fans for the past 2 months, we had a bit of hope before that and prior to that hope the majority of the past 10 years has been abysmal so another week will make no difference. It is like we support a circus not a football club. The bottom line is someone has to be accountable for the current situation. Is it GFH Is it the manager Is it Haigh Is it the players Is it a combination of all 4
As in no players in with the possibility of Ross leaving and another Morison esq swap. I think mid-table will be where we finish. BMD won't walk. Honestly who walks from football management these days?
Morning all Just want a resolution on the Cellino and Ross stuff now. I think if West Ham come in with an offer around £5m Ross will be on his way, and whether that is a decent deal for us or not depends entirely on how the money is reinvested. If he does go, a quality striker needs to come in straight away to replace his goals otherwise we will be in trouble. Match thread for tomorrow will be up around lunch time
http://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/spor...val-bid-for-control-of-leeds-united-1-6398418 The plot thickens and it sems Farnahm, Pearson and Verity have stepped in with a counter offer as GFH have binned the deal with Sports Capital. So Haigh the mouth was wrong wasn't he about good times being close. There are now 3 rival bids trying to get control of the club if Don Corleone is back in the frame. Another transfer window down the drains even after all the promises. If Ross is sold this week the money goes to GFH and they never gave a fook about the club. Too late anyway for anything to happen for us as window closes Friday
Indeed Doc, A RIVAL group to the Sport Capital consortium are positioning themselves to make a second offer for Leeds United and intensify the ownership struggle at Elland Road. A group led by ex-Manchester United commercial chief Mike Farnan could submit an improved bid early this week after a deal between Sport Capital and Leeds owner Gulf Finance House reached an impasse. Sport Capital have been working on a 75 per cent buy-out for two months but their takeover has run into difficulties in the past fortnight and appeared to be no closer to completion last night. Farnan’s consortium, which includes ex-Hull City chairman Adam Pearson and Welcome to Yorkshire chief executive Gary Verity, made an unsuccessful offer for Leeds in November and looked to be out of the running once GFH agreed terms with Sport Capital later that month.
There is only one scenario where this week ends well. the mafia man buys us and brings in a team of superstars, meaning Ross wouldn't have got in the team. the nightmare scenario is Tory boy finds the extra 59p down the back of the sofa and takes us over even though he has no money to improve the team, next worse Farnans bid gets back on the table but isn't completed before deadline day. Can't see Ross being here by Saturday whatever happens. We will know tomorrow night, if he isn't playing he has gone!
Exclusivity period ended january 1st, as they put the bid in on November 30th but had been working on it for months before that. The deal needed completing by the end of the 2013 and obviously it wasn't so ..... All options/offers are back on the table and GFH will love this new auction scenario as the price will rise
Cheesey. Would have expected better if I am honest. Hessledons place at Thorpe arch is up for 4.5mill. Includes a vintage car museum.
Strange as it was apparently up for sale in August too... You do realise that he wouldn't put his house up for sale before an offers been accepted by Leeds, let alone him having agreed terms and had a medical???
