    Evening Lads & Lassies,

Excuse the fact that I have been a member on here for a while now without posting. I admit, I am "one of those" that views all of the threads, pretty much every evening, but then moves on to something else. Anyway, the reason I am posting, due to work commitments, I end up attending mostly away matches. When I do go to Loftus, it is by train from Maidstone. On Tuesday, I intend to drive up but will be leaving it relatively late & expect to be in W12 around 7pm. Can anybody help & advise me on a sensible place to park? Any help would be much appreciated.

Westfield shopping centre, it'll cost £5, signposted all over so easy to find, 10 minutes walk to the ground.

If you don't mind walking from Goldhawk Road the turnings off there are usually less crowded and the parking is free, you can make your getaway towards Hammersmith and pick up the A4 into Earls Court and head south from there...

    23 mins if you amble

Has anyone tried parking outside the ground? ... always thought that just drive up mount the pavement and park direct outside the shop with a forged disabled badge?

Sorry DT, there's a big Reserved for BZ sign there.

I wonder who that could be for?

You could try the roads to the West of Bloemfontein road and South of Sawley Road, e.g. Ormiston, Oaklands and Adelaide Groves, Dunraven Road, Collingbourne Road, etc. I usually find a free space in one of them on matchdays. As I won't be going to the Bolton game, you can have my slot. :)

Done it a few times on non match-days to visit the club shop - even mentioned it on the way in to the club shop and got an accepting nod - it's a nice way to get in and out easily.

South Africa Road is closed from about 1.30pm on matchdays; that said, I'm sure I parked up at BBC Wood Lane for a fiver back in the early 90s.

Sawley Road is a good option - especially if you approach it from Acton and get to the west side of the road barrier. There's usually loads of space - albeit a longer walk - though I often chose to break the walk in half with a stop at the Coningham Arms!

There are always spaces in Conningham road. I park closer when in the LL and get out right on the whistle but if you leave it just a minute then youre screwed.

Put it on the pitch, whatever your driving will be better than the other Park !

I've parked around East Acton Station before and taken the one stop in but thats only because I want to leave via the West.

when I started going with a different mate, he suggested Westfield's and I told him it was daft, why pay a fiver to park twice as far away and it will take you another 20 mins to get out if you are going to the west.

you just have to make sure you are the other side of the main road as it can get grid locked after matches.

I used to park in the roads around the Conningham & Crown & Sceptre. Usually find a space around there.

That's why I suggested off the Goldhawk Road, near enough to be handy and far enough to aid your getaway...

We used to park in loftus road when we were in the LL, the space right next to the exit was great providing you were stood at the exit as the whistle went. You are then stuck for about 5 mins for every min you leave it after the whistle.
