I beg to differ, Filey.
I'm sure 'extreme groups' didn't post on CI, only individuals, and most articulated their views very well whether of the right or left without need of moderation. The retired communist school teacher from Northampton and the ranting anarchist from Tenfootcity certainly broke the myth that it just favoured right wing attitudes, some debates I read were worthy of the Cambridge Union and its ridiculous to liken CI to childish social inadequates from TWS and Millwall, what the f*** are you on Craig?
This went badly quickly. I actually thought it might turn out ok at the start too. Wtf was I thinking?
To add balance ( & better musical quality...)
Did CI rise out of the ashes that once was Rivals.net? Not606 is essentially a newer version of Rivals
I suppose I'm on what a lot of others on here are. Judging by the CI exiles who have made their way here most seem to have right wing attitudes. When a site is populated by so many with a similar outlook it is a little naïve and presumptuous to say "'extreme groups' didn't post on CI". How do you know that?
How have you worked out that most ex CI'ers are right wingers? And so what anyway? I have views to the right, if that's a problem to you then tough, doesn't mean I shouldn't post on here. And I'd say CI was more against the modern type of football than here is, which comes across a bit Soccer AM-ey
not606 is nothing like rivals. there were no foam handers on rivals and the premiership was furthest from anybody's mind. the most extreme view on rivals was that of John Fenwick (RIP) whose anti-Peter Taylor consistent line was as far as it got.
I said "Judging by the CI exiles who have made their way here most seem to have right wing attitudes." So again what makes you think I was talking about you?
Personally I think Not606 is by far the best football forum on the internet, largely down to the quality of the moderation ...
says the man, woman or other who's club would condone drums, music after goals and pre-pubic dancing girls
