though popular with Sunderland fans, Alfred N'Diaye is currently out on loan and impressing at Turkish side Eskisehirspor. Despite which, Gus Poyet has said that he has no intention of recalling the player from his loan spell; I've given it some thought and I will not be recalling Alfred or Danny back this month. We will leave them to finish their season-long loans. N'Diaye's loan may still end soon however, with Real Betis hoping to sign the player on either a loan or a permanent basis. According to reports in Spain, Betis have intensified their efforts to bring N'Diaye to the La Liga side and go on to suggest that contractual issues with the Turkish side may see the 23-year-old leave during this window. The Seville based side tried to sign the French midfielder in the summer but at that time he preferred a move back to Turkey, where he had a spell with Bursaspor. Perhaps tellingly, N'Diaye wasn't involved in the match day squad yesterday as Eskisehirspor lost 3-1 away to his former side Bursaspor. Don't think he carried the composure and technical ability to hold his own under Gus' style, I'm sure Gus has taken a look at him by now and if he could cut it, you'd have to think he would have been recalled by now. For me he would have excelled as a direct box to box midfielder and could have made MoN's 'Counter attacking' philosophy actually work if only if he had been used as a direct box to box midfielder instead of the makeshift DM that O'Neil made him play. Wish him the best anyway if he goes. He's a very likeable character. Shame he chose the easy loan option instead of staying and fighting for his place. We might have known a bit more about him that way but as it stands he's an opinion player who'll we'll never really know what he was capable of.
Couldn't give a flying ****, just another name through the door, manager didn;t like him, out on loan...Then gone. trial and error.
