The question oh Stuart Blampey is what are the others like in that market. I think it looks clean and streamlined and not overly fussy which a lot of logos can look like. I remember at the last company I would for and they changed the logo to a simple bluish font - it does seem to be the fashion for simplicity at the moment.
It looks dated, cheap and not something that a firm with the turnover of Allam Marine would be seen dead with.
And yet it works just fine. I'd hazard a guess and say Allam Marine knows more about its business than you do and is financially wise at least, a lot more successful than you.
I'd hazard a guess and say I know far more about typography, logos, company branding than anyone at Allam Marine. I'd hazard a guess that their success is down to the excellence of their product or the nature of their market , than the the 'packaging' of their product. It's good to see something be successful due to its inherent excellence rather than its excellent marketing/presentation. Quite rare in this day and age. Doesn't bode well for this Hull Tigers fiasco though............
