FIORENTINA TABLE BID FOR SUNDERLAND DEFENDER DIAKITE
    Submitted by tribalfootball.com on Sat, 01/25/2014 - 23:25
Fiorentina are eyeing Sunderland defender Modibo Diakite.

The Viola fancied Diakite in the summer before his move to Wearside and are ready to try again.

Sportmediaset says an offer has been made to take him on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season for €2m.

Him and Roberge have looked canny at times, and dire at others.

Nowt against him, he maybe ok, but imo he's not the way forward, so if he goes, he goes.

With Virgini coming in I think it was likely that he might be off. Id like us to keep Roberge as he's left footed and abit different yo our other center halfs

Bout 1.5m Profit. Thank you very much. Suddenly not as bad a signing as we may have thought as it's brought us profit with no hassle.

This is one arm of the Udinese model that Di Fanti and Angeloni introduced. As well as bringing in first team players, they had a sort of trading book designed to buy and sell players at a profit to produce revenue.

Looks as if it's not a bad idea (it never was).

Agree mate. Hope we remain in this direction. Yes Roberge, Diakite and Cabral haven't set the world on fire. But they haven't unsettled the club. Two of them have provided adequate depth, we are going to make profit on all three. Not bad really.

I would keep him because I can't see Brown & O'Shea staying fit all season.
