This may be just a bit of manoeuvring by fat Mike's mouthpiece..

Norwich City are plotting a January transfer bid for Newcastle United defender Steven Taylor.
Canaries boss Chris Hughton led the Mapgies to promotion from the Championship in the 2009-10 campaign, when Taylor was a key figure in the side.

The 28-year-old has made four appearances for Alan Pardew’s men this term following his eagerly-anticipated comeback from long-term injury, but now faces stiff competition for a regular starting berth.
Mike Williamson’s impressive form alongside Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa at the heart of the defence has helped to put Newcastle in contention for the European sports in the Premier League table.
Captain Fabricio Coloccini will also return to the side when he recovers from his knee injury.
Hughton wants to reunite Taylor with his ex-Magpies team-mate Sebastien Bassong at Carrow Road, but is yet to discover if Newcastle are willing to sell.
With two-and-a-half years remaining on Taylor’s contract, Norwich are likely to test the water with an opening bid of around £5.5million.

I'd sell for 5.5, but didnt CH and Saylor have a massive fall out leading to Saylor handing a transfer request in?

Jonas, Bassong, Taylor. I wonder who'll be next? CH trying to build a team of Newcastle players.

I still think Taylor is worth more than £5.5M

it's a shame he doesn't want Shola or Obertan.

We could give him £5.5, to take them off our wages bill.

Can't understand people seem to be righting him off? He's been one of our best defenders over the last few years, fair enough, he's been a bit dodgy since he came back but he only needs a few games under his belt to get back to form.

Best days behind him, never going to fulfil his potential, would be a good move for all parties, as long as we found a decent suitable, younger replacement.

A walking liability and can f**k off with my compliments but won't go into the summer. Pardew will want to play him next week anyway.
