I think every result went our way today and as a added bonus the S**t go down as well, with all the other results in their division going pretty badly. Perfect!!!!!
I'm very happy. Newport are a good side (table don't lie) and we deserved the win. 1st half was funny with the weather. 2nd half the weather calmed and we were the better side. Happy with Mo's 1st appearance. Exactly what I expected from him but there is room for improvement for him which I expect as he plays more. Goals from Richards and JJOT were very good, looking forward to watching the football league show later. What happened to Richards? I missed it!
Well it's clear that I know **** all about football! I thought Kaid was very good and helped in a more attacking display, especially in the 2nd half. After half an hour it was looking like another case of inaccurate shooting with everything off target, but we carried more threat as the game progressed. Solid at the back as usual. Great result, now let's win our third on the bounce on Tuesday!
Whatever our concerns about tactics or selections the one thing that has stayed consistent is the team playing for Ward. Slowly the two-way loyalty is coming good. I thought 3-1 flattered us a little, but we're due some luck. 4 of the next 6 at home. Put together a winning run and.....................
too many! lost count now. all yellows have been over something so stupid like taking shirt off celebrating, going into the crowd celebrating, arguing with the ref and off the ball incidents with opposition players. all needless. same with his red card which was an off the ball incident.
just seen its not on tonight. league 1 and 2 is not important enough for the bbc to show these leagues. they must have championship games to have the show on. stupid.
Been having trouble logging so could get on here but anyway great win yesterday I think JJOT is on about 10 yellows now so that's something JW needs to address with him he could end up on more cards then goals.
There were 4 Championship games, but I just think the BBC couldn't be bothered to do one without a full programme of fixtures. How I miss the times when every game was available to watch on the BBC Sport website. To watch the goals, I'll just have to watch the FL72 review on Sky
The result was what was wanted. But the execution left a bit to be desired. First half the Gas played poorly with the wind in their favour. Hardly a shot on target when having a pop from anywhere was the order of the day. By half time I thought we looked about as bad as our league position suggests. BUT second half what a turnaround! Two things worked in our favour. There wasn't a giraffe running around up front to hack the ball to. And the wind DEMANDED that the ball be worked forward along the ground. Even Milders was seen to throw the ball out to a defender! OK the lads need a bit more practice playing ball to feet, but IMO we looked a much better side that way. I thought it was a shame that Kaid's breakaway shot whistled just passed the woodwork. The adrenaline rush could have given him great motivation had that shot gone in. When he did score it was just in time for a half time cuppa and a calm down moment. The jury's out on him for the moment. I liked the fact that he is quick; took a pop when he could and carried the ball at their defence. I was not happy that when he lost the ball, he just surrendered and waited for someone else to tackle for the ball.
He was fined and banned for 10 cards a while back. Probably closer to 15 now I would have thought. I wouldn't change him too much though as clearly that drives him on
what a ****ing disgrace that video is. PEople talking all over each other in the background. Get the **** out of the interview room. Disrespectful to say the least
i didnt know that he was fined and banned for reaching 10 cards. i know he reached 5 yellows and had a red. if he reached 10 yellows by xmas he then would have had a further 2 game ban for reaching 10 yellows and he hasnt had another ban since his 5th yellow / red card ban. i would have guessed 8 or 9 yellows.
i just checked bbc which says 7 yellows in all competitions. scroll down the page to the stats. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/teams/bristol-rovers our OS site shows 8 yellows (7 in the league and 1 in the cup) http://www.bristolrovers.co.uk/stats/player-stats/ harrison and lockyer both have 6 in all competions. o'toole has commited more fouls than any other player at the club.
