Kelvin Davis: "We're a friendly bunch. We have long said that we have had a good team spirit in the dressing room. If anyone cannot be a part of that, then they are not welcome."
Solent endorsing the view of Kirstie the Saints fan... ...if Jose Fonte can accept his apology and forgive him, then so should we as fans of the club.
Merrington says... ...the club is bigger than any one person. The fans pay their money and have a lot of pride in their team. If you are the manager and you look at the situation and your reaction is 'He's got to go', then you really must get rid of him. Boruc's incident was not towards a team-mate, and he has never shown bad attitude since.
Bit of a rush to judgment here. It's almost as if some people think that Jose walked into the dressing room one morning and Osvaldo stood up and whacked him in the mouth. Two sides to every story and most of us don't even know the first side yet.
It's trash because it twists a general statement into one taking direct aim at Osvaldo, but I think that there have been enough hints to suggest that the players aren't terribly happy with Dani.
I read his message as saying I might have taken a knock but it won't prevent me from playing, rather than than "the nasty bully hit me, make the nasty man go away type message?" Perhaps I am reading between the lines and making my own version up, everyone else seems to be!
It was definitely a 'look at my injury' picture. Fonte posted that because he was angry. Remember Beckham walking around with the cut Fergie gave him...he was spitting feathers and wasn't hiding either.
I don't know, but I don't think Fonte is the kind of guy who would post that picture to point the finger. I interpreted it as him saying (after all the reports/sympathy) "don't worry, I'm ok and available to play".
He may have been playing it down after all of the "bloodbath" hype. A slight black eye that isn't going to stop him playing.
http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/footb...ton-transfers-dani-osvaldo-suspected-3062105? Wtf is this ****?
Its absolute bull **** isn't it? Nothing in it at all to back up what they are saying, just another case of fabricating a different angle on a story that has already been blown up out of all proportion.
Not saying it's true, but it is possible. The headbutt not only means that we may choose to get rid of him, but also may force us to accept a lower price. Only time will tell. Tempers subside, apologies given and accepted and he could be back in the side. I still feel that the major issue is what the players thought of him before this....if he was one of the team, he could make a come back. However, may be harder if he was already an outsider.
The captain of Goole will be at the same anger management course as Dani this week. As Charlie Brooker says "If you're going to film a violent incident instead of help, make sure you do it in landscape"
Jose might do that but not sure his team mates will. Any one of them could be next? Kelvin's comment are telling regarding saints spirit and ethics " if anyone cannot be part of that they are not welcome" I wonder who that could be???
Also liked Kelvin's comment when we got the penalty...I looked round for Rickie but he was in the stand with his son.
