A thread on the oatcake is saying that JPs contract has been terminated and he has left the club. The source is apparently 'Stoke Loud and Proud' I don't think it's official but was wondering if any of our posters had heard anything
I have just read it in the Sentinel on-line. Stoke have activated a clause in his current deal which allows them to terminate the contract. Not really a surprise as his contribution has been negligible of late and it reduces the wage bill. His best was in the past and he has not helped himself so will not be missed IMO.
He has been a liability and the faux pas at the Everton game just pushed him over the edge! Hopefully it can pave way for the Riviere deal
I had high hopes for him when he came back, thinking we could use his wing work but oh well you can't win them all
Not making excuses for the lad because he is a kretin, but his top flight career was effectively over when TP froze him out.
What a waste of a talent. At least he was consistent, he started at Arsenal as he meant to continue throughout his career.
It was good to see that Pennant supposedly thanked Hughes for the chance to move on and also the supporters for their support his move. I think he lost a lot of that support following the recent Everton game!! Wishing him the best of luck. He will need it as I fear he is a spent force.
