On the back of 3 defeats, we host a Reading side who absolutely battered Bolton last time out. Needless to say, confidence will be high in the Reading camp! To me it points all to a draw. We're poor at home, Reading poor on their travels so that seems the most likely outcome. However, for whatever reason I have a funny feeling by hook or crook we will nick a 1-0 victory tomorrow. Attendance around 16000, I don't think Reading will bring more than 800 but by all means prove me wrong Royals, the more inside the ground the better. COYB
I was gonna ask you to edit that to MERCHANT....then I saw stretchy's post...! After the poor performances from Town over the last few games, partly down to players absent through injury, I think we will bounce back with a convincing good display, 3-1 Town. Didsy x 2 Smith
I do have to admit that i have been a miserable fu***r lately. This is what this club does to me. We have the potential to be a fantastic club, and regularly in the prem - but they are just so dam frustrating. I would love to be optimistic and positive, but unfortunatel we are just so boring and bland of late that i can't see a win for us against a very good Reading team. I would love to be proven wrong about everything, including MM, so that everyone can say "told you so"!!
Fair play Stretchy and I can see your point of view but it isnt as bad as the PJ era! Stick in there buddy we will get our rewards eventually!
2-2 draw. McG and Murphy to score in the first half and then we'll concede two in the last thirty minutes after the substitutions.
2 nil home win .. Smiff and Murff both from corners one each half with 17046 bums on seats . I am expecting a exciting new signing to be announced soon , not a loanee but a proper signing
I'm going 1-1 draw Murphy scoring from a corner. to stop the rot. Guys we're still 10th in the league and don't really have any dramas, which considering the past few seasons is amazing particularly considering we have a very average team and spent very little money. Mick isn't beyond criticism because he can be bloody frustrating at times but he's a good manager, we're in safe yet pretty uninspiring hands but we should appreciate that atm and just get a bit of perspective as to where we are.
Well said Itfcptc, we've come a long long way in the year. I will say the same should we lose too, but clearly hoping we don't. Line up - Gherkin / Cressy / Chambers / Smith / Berra / Edwards/ Hunt / Tunnicliffe / Skuse / McGoldrick / Murphy. Come on Hunty, run the show vs your old club! Pleased with the 4-4-2 with two wide boys, both Edwards and Hunt are good defensively too which they will need to be vs this Reading side in good form!
