This weekends target race is the Skybet Chase, the 3-15 at Doncaster. Formerly known as the Great Yorkshire Chase, this has always been a competitive race down the years. Previous winners include Grand National heroes Freebooter, ESB and Nicholas Silver and notable winners in recent years have been Big Fella Thanks, Calgary Bay and Simon. Some stats to think about - out of the last 8 runnings, all winners were aged 9 or less, all had won between 0 to 3 chases, 7 carried 11-2 or less, and maybe most telling, 6 of the 8 favourites were unplaced. It IS a tricky one Ron! I'd rather have gone for the Argento but as expected it's now down to 7 runners, and looking IMO like a Rocky Creek stroll I have no idea about it at the moment, but as I'm a permenent defender by virtue of my league position, I'll just leave it until Brough has given me a target
