Sounds like we've submitted a formal complaint against Villa for tapping up Hoolahan. No doubt they'll get a fine of £16.20 and a slap on the wrist, while Hoolahan refuses to play for us for the rest of the season and goes to Villa in the summer for £0.5m...
Good to see the club taking that kind of action, and even if it doesn't come to anything, I guess it's a clever way of slowing down/preventing the transfer. You're probably right in that we'll come off far worse.
Every cloud has a silver lining. If Wes goes, there may well be beneficial knock-on effects. For instance, carrabuh may demand a transfer from this board ......
Holtby wants out of Spurs. He is the type of player who is ideal to replace Wes and the quality we should be aspiring to. But no we look (allegedly)at Glen Whelan!!!Holtby on loan please!!
The sooner we get rid of Hoolahan the better. We need to move on if we are to become an established premier league team. On a day to day baises Hoolahan is a good Championship player at best.
If that is the case then why are people so determined to stop him going to Villa? Surely, if he is that bad, he will only drag them down. Could it be that he only fits your description under a defensively minded, tactic and system dominated Manager but unleashed by a more free minded Manager he could prove to be the Premiership player many of us think he is.
Doesn't really matter what any of us think. What matters is what PL managers looking to add to their squads think. I'm not aware that, over the last five years, DM has been exactly inundated with enquiries about Wes's availabilily. This suggests to me that there is pretty much a concensus about Wes, the positives and negatives, and the verdict seems to be that the negatives outweigh the positives. It isn't Chris Hughton who is the odd one out in this regard, it is Lambert, and apparently even he isn't prepared to put Lerner's money where his (Lambert's) mouth is.
The trouble with Hoolahan is that at premiership level he has a good game as often as a blue moon. I'm not saying he hasn't done well for us in the past. Its just that we're moving on and he's not.
A touch personal perhaps? I don't agree with everything he says but I consider his input equally as interesting/valid as anybody else's.
I don't think Robbie means anything by it. After all, he finds it hard enough to find something interesting to write about, so it might as well be me.
Wrong again! There are far more interesting things to write about -- see my recent thread about drying paint.
Once upon a time you had arguments, Robbie. Now you just have invective. Best of luck with your bile. I'm outa here, as the Americans say.
Good idea, it makes a welcome change to your views on football. A big thankyou on behalf of the Norwich not606 community for the change. Well done you
